PDA on the way out??

Welp, that explains why PDA never gave Malone a bench.

IF he is given the boot, I'd assume it to be after the draft. Or, a more PC way to put it, I think that St. John's will announce him as their AD after the draft. If he's not hired for the position, then I'm afraid he will stick around. I've already stated that I don't think it's healthy to keep him around, but I guess we'll see what happens.

The longer this goes, the less likely PDA leaves on his own.

I don't think St. Johns going to wait too long to hire an A.D.

You're assuming St. Johns and PDA don't already have an agreement in place that they will announce his hiring AFTER the NBA draft. I'm not ready to make that assumption. ;)

What benefit would waiting to announce a new A.D. be for St. John's? It would probably hurt their recruiting to not have an A.D.

Since St. Johns is a college and NBA is professional, there is no need to really wait to announce. They could simply make the announcement and state that PDA will start the job effective July 1st.

The way rumors were flying with PDA as the main guy, I can't see him keeping this hush hush now if he agreed with St. John already.

Given the bathrooms at STP aren't all that clean, I can think of a good job for PDA if he sticks around.

No news so PDA is our GM and will stay that way until we hear otherwise. What's the latest rumor on who is going to coach the kids in Las Vegas?

I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for "war room draft video 2.0":

Vivek: "Kaminsky? Kaminsky?? anyone for Kaminsky? I'm for Kaminsky? What do you say??? Kaminsky?! Kaminsky!!".

Pete: "ummm... errr.... hemmm... haw.... shrug... Kaminsky?".

And with the 7th pick, Denver selects Willie Cauley Stein.

Vlade is the main man now, not PDA.

I cannot recall where, but I do remember reading something about the current AD contract lasting through June 30. That, if my memory is correct, would certainly be one reason. If they sign PDA before then, they'd be paying two ADs... but, as I say, I cannot recall where I read that.

I've moved the discussion of PDA to a new thread, given the fact that there is actual news. Iced Espresso's got lost along the way...feel free to repost in the new thread.
