Pacers Digest Current Reactions

1) Wow, they hate artest more than we do.

2) So much so that they think tonight's meeting may even result in them throwing in picks or another player to get us to bite.

3) Came to the same conclusion that peja's done here, no matter what the outcome of this (trade to another team or walk in the offseason).

4) "Want peja's offense, screw defense!" Hey, exact opposites!

5) According to their local sources (web, radio, etc.) the deal is "a long way from being dead." Might have something done by tomorrow.

Throw in jermaine oneal!!!

LOL it's worth a try. I say toss in JO for good faith :)

Hicks, I have been following your guy's forum all day. Pretty crazy stuff today.

I was with you up until the JO part.
Granger required. Otherwise, Pacers can keep Artest, and continue the downward spiral (yes, I realize that the Kings aren't in a much better position, but they won't improve trading for a player who won't play --- someone has to suit up and play).

Pacers funs should look on the bright side if this trade comes through tommorrow:

1. They will be rid of Ron Artest who singlehandedly destroyed this and last season for Indy.

2. If Pedja is ever to regain his form and contribute, it will be under a disciplinarian, micromanager in the mold of Carlisle. Just as a reminder, Pedja's highest achievements in bball came under just similar demanding little Napoleons (Pesic with NT in Indy 2002 and Skiles in Greece in the mid-90's).

3. If Pedja continues to suck, his 7.5 mil are off the books in less then half-a-season.

i would have gladly taken JO's 7 points and 15 rebounds over miller's 2 and 1 tonight.
How about We (Pacers) give you RA, Granger, and Jackson, and we get Peja, Cisco and Bonzi. In fact, you don't have to give us anything if you promise to take RA and Jackson. They are a pair and shouldn't be seperated--so PLEASE take them both. I would be happy to have Cisco rather than Granger--Granger has been a disappointment.

So what do you guys think now that it has OFFICALLY happened?
I think we all still hate Ron :D

Although, the Ron-fans seem to admit they have the best of both worlds now. They can watch Ron play ball, but it won't be their team he eventually destroys.

peja's stay in indiana will be much like mobley's stay here last year...he'll play above his previous average in nearly every category, play fairly well in the playoffs and then bolt to a divison rival (bulls)

If Ron ditched the team especially after what happen last season in Detroit, wouldn't you as a fan hate him too? I would if he did that to the Kings.

IMO, I'll be surprise if Peja do well in Indiana. I believe he's still not 100% and it'll probably take him a while to get use to Indiana's style.
