can't believe how many laker "fans" are popping out of all of a sudden.ugghhh some of my friends......

Ok from reading VF's recent posts I think I get the reason for disliking the Lakers so much, outside of the 2002 stuff. Not living in US nor being part of other fanboards I have no clue about true Lakers fans and how they are disrespectful and stuff so my apologies for not really understanding why the Lakers were so different from any other team in the NBA that isn't the Kings.

You know who deserves to win a championship? WE DO!!!

Oh, HECK YEAH!!

People "rioting" in East LA and downtown LA. Not really paying attention, heard some people jump on a cop car and brak a window or something. Right now on the news, I see some fires, but nothing really serious. Its nothing compared to the 2000 championship.

I'm hoping some people head to the ESPN building in LA and they get these "fans" on camera for the rest of America to see how pathetic these guys really are.

Yep, nothing says championship more than setting fire to your home town...

the hero here are kobes elbows...

the series was one elbow shot away from a 2-2 series oh well...

reasons why the magic lost was just complete implosion... rafer alston with svg. nelson getting playing time which should have been given to rafer and anthony johnson

nelson was pulling a webber when he came back from injury.. remember when peja was on fire that season he was in the mvp voting.. im not bashing webber ok just showing comparison

the magic 09 and the kings 02 have one thing in common.. both fell via the elbow of kobe

Geez. Way to boil a 5 gm series down to one play. The game was tied at the time of the catastrophic elbow, so that means we must know the sequence of events that took place after the hopeful call is made. It's not exactly a strong position arguing that Orlando makes a clutch shot in the remaining 33 secs...........

The Lakers won because they swarmed Howard and supressed his scoring punch for at least 3 gms. They also did a good enough job pressuring Hedo and Lewis at the arc for various games (they did the same thing to Denver). Orlando is too dependent on 3s. LA were able to impact their inside punch or their outside punch for most of the series, end of story. 4-1 ain't a fluke. Then there was the Nelson/Alston newbie gameplanning. The Magic weren't ready for prime time. The stats don't deceive in this case.

Thx 6th and VF (grabs Zippo). ;)

congrats to your team too...

well basically the magic melt down in that game... jameer backing off fish and fish drains a three to tie it during the 4th

mental break down just total mental breakdown

if things went the magic way with that elbow could have had the ball and probably scored or sent it to another ot

oh well.. wish there were more laker fans like gargamel, and hoopsfans, and the other guy with the shaq avatar. i mean i encounter a whole lot of obnoxious laker fans.

congrats to your victory again

Congats to Gargy and Hoopsie on your team's championship....again. We'd love to have just our first one here in Sac.

And, tho it pains me to say it, I have no doubt that there'd be some "fans" here doing the same thing as the "fans" in the pictures above. Seems to happen everywhere a championship does. Stupidity has no geographic boundaries.

Yeargh... I find it nigh impossible to be happy for someone when the conditions for their happiness pretty much necessitate that I be unhappy, but hoopsie, Gargamel and RKid are good enough people, aside from their minor mental defect, but I'll try not to hold that against them...

congrats to the lakers for winning an nba title. no manu, no healthy jameer, no KG. this is the luckiest team in the history of athletics

Yeah, I know what you mean. Winning it against a zero experience Magic team is just not the same. It doesn't give it that epic battle like the Celtics vs lakers type of match-up. Feels kind of like when the Shaq led lakers played the Nets for the championship.

You're making it sound like the Lakers' fault that these guys were all injured and that they faced an opponent with very little finals experience.

^ No one said its their fault. But thats how the world is. If you don't beat the best possible team, there will always be "what if".

In a perfect world for the lakers, they would've beat a full healthy Celtics team to avenge last yr's disgrace.

Jameer and Manu? KG maybe.

Once again, I assure ye aloud that the Lakers will rip right thru SA with or without Manu.

The. Spurs. Are. Dun.

i think those are faker fans...

i mean its ok to share a drink with a buddy or two at the streets chant we are the champions, run around like your on some space cake, but to use railings as a battering ram to smash things?! smash some dudes car? throw kobes (garbage cans) at police cars? and loot shops? a championship should bring out the best of a city.. something to be proud of not this.. not this..

so classy....

my brother is lording over his kobe jersey (my aunt from the states got us both sporting gear... the other was minnesotta vikings petterson.. the other was a kobe bryant jersey.... though i had no idea who petterson of the vikings i... i took the shirt he got the jersey..)

now hes saying "i like the lakers"

and thats coming from a guy who doesnt CARE about basketball... to my brother.. You sir are a bandwagon fan! lol

he could have done worse though... i encountered a guy who said "i like the lakers cause of kobe bryant... the philippines has caught bryant fever.. laker nation!"

speak for yourself im a kings fan!

not to pee on the championship bonfire of the lakers but i do honestly believe THIS will be the last ring kobe gets.. the west will shape up next season.

C's got to face a Bynumless Lakers team last year when the Lakers biggest weakness was a defensive anchor in that series. Also it was obvious this whole postseason he wasn't even near 100%.

If you're going to be play that game, be fair then.
