So, 2012 hasn't been real good for you so far. You didn't do much to improve your image with Kings fans by backing out of the arena deal that just about anyone not named Maloof realized was the best possible offer you were going to get.
Now, the Kings have acquired another exciting young player that should keep fans coming to PBP to watch THEIR team play. And please...make no mistake about it. You may hold the contracts on the players but it's the fans of the Sacramento Kings who truly own them. You underestimated us when you arbitrarily decided you could just pick them up and move to Anaheim and you're underestimating us now.
We will not desert OUR team and we will show the players the support and devotion as we always have. Right now, though, we're not feeling very confident about what you will do as owners to get this team back on the right track - headed towards the playoffs and not towards fishing trips in the middle of April.
If you want to show us that you're sincere about making this team competitive again, allow Geoff Petrie to spend whatever it takes to get some quality free agents on the team. We have gaping holes in our roster that must be addressed and we have a logjam of guards that needs to be broken up.
Stand up and show yourselves to be worthy of being NBA owners. Give the loyal fans of the Sacramento Kings a team they can appreciate and support. It'll be good for the players, it'll be good for the fans, and it'll be good for you.
The ball, as they say, is in your court.
