How are players getting chosen to participate in the 3 point contest of the all star weekend?
Does Omri has a chance to be there? According to his shooting this season, he should be there. When will It be announced?

He certainly deserves to be there. Given the amount of 3s he's taken and his %, it would be very strange if he doesn't get an invite. I wouldn't pick him to win it, but you never know with Omri. He does seem to relish pressure.

Oh well, it's official now -
No Omri Casspi in the ASG 3-pt contest.
They named the 8 participants:

I'm really not sure Omri even WANTED to be on it (Actually I suspect he didn't. He may have even turned down such an invitation without us knowing), but WE HERE sure wished he participated (if only to expand Kings' presence in the events).

Are there other Kings in participation except DMC? Is WCS in the rising stars thing? Rondo in anything? Anyone else?

What the hell is Chris Bosh doing in the 3-pt contest?
Bosh is 36th in 3PM, 38th in 3PA, and 49th in 3P%.
This is his first 3 Point Contest. (And Devin booker has no business being in the contest - a rookie with low stats?)

Who the heck thought Bosh was a better candidate than the 35+ players better than him in 3's this year?
Ironic that Marco was in the contest the past 3 years, and did quite well (in fact, he won it 2 years ago..?).

And now that he plays for the Kings, he can't buy a 3-ptr......figures.

Omri definitely wanted to be in the contest, he was asked a couple times in pre/postgame over the last week or two and said he really wanted to go, that it would be a great opportunity, but that he was waiting to be called. This was his reaction on Twitter just after the participants were announced:
