Oh My God - Gavin Maloof on Tyreke Evans

Okay, but he sounds like he's begging for people to like him. Making guarantees of a franchise changing player sounds more like desperation to sell tickets rather than honesty.

It could be both. I think he could care less whether we like him or not. But he certainly wants everyone to like the Kings. Plus, I think he HONESTLY wants to SELL tickets. It is after all a business.:)

LMAO, you had to be in the arena to believe it. i was just stunned sitting there watching him say all that stuff. i didn't know whether to cheer or not. it was just bad timing he came out right after the pick and said all that stuff bc most of the fans were hoping it was rubio instead of evans. i think if he came out after the 23rd pick when people warmed up to the fact that evans was picked he would have gotten a more favorable response from the crowd.

In the words of George Armstrong Custer at the little big horn.

" Timing is everything " He said that right after saying, " Where the hell are all the indians " :D

I thought the clip was great. Gavin is just a Kings zealot. It's one reason I love him as an owner. When he is at Arco he is the biggest Kings fan in the building. I don't care if it is over the top or irrational.

Not really blaming him, it's just that whiney desperation isn't an attractive quality.

its good to see management getting right behind him, not so sure about the whole franchise turning around pitch but were hardly going backwards now
