Well, that tells me the Kings were pretty set on Murray that they wouldn’t risk him not being there at 6 and also that they are legitimately extremely high on him…because I think Duarte would be a pretty good fit on the Kings

Well, that goes both ways. Because the 4 (or more) teams that wanted to trade up also really wanted Ivey or Murray. So the KINGS aren't alone in valuing the player they wanted at that spot.

Also noticed the author of that article regurgitating the tired "The Kings are in win-now mode" nonsense. SMH.

Every team not purposely tanking are in "win-now mode". It's the nature of competition.

The KINGS have been in win-now mode for pretty much ALL of the past 16 seasons. They just haven't been able to do it.

While Monk is leaving Los Angeles to come to Sacramento, Damian Jones will be leaving Sacramento to head to Los Angeles. The former Kings big man has agreed to a 2-year deal with the Lakers. This will be Jones' second stint with the Lakers after playing eight games for them in 2020.

Mike Brown is pulling some familiar faces from Golden State to join him in Sacramento. Leandro Barbosa, a Warriors’ development coach and part of the 2015 championship team, will sign on to be one of Brown’s assistant coaches with the Kings, according to reports. Barbosa played 15 seasons in the NBA, including two with the Warriors from the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons, and three seasons internationally.
