6 more weeks.

All kinds of ways both good and bad to interpret that, but it would be foolish indeed not to make an intense effort for the next month and a half. If the deal were done, they'd be gone already. You guys have to fight for them. You've got the rest of your lives to regret them. Wish I could more directly help, although the City Council members and Maloofs are getting to know my emial addresses. As it is all I can do is cheerlead.

So in the immortal words of the Rio Americano cheerleading squad:

Go!

Fight!

Win!

What are some possible things us Sacramento Kings fans should do other than buy tickets and go to games?

I don't know that this is really about attendance, although that's good for the short term.

Elected officials are there by the people, for the people. Send a letter. Email is great, but a letter is worth a thousand words. They work. Don't underestimate the power of voice. Let them know how the Kings leaving would impact your civic pride. Let them know you would have to spend your money elsewhere (ie, bay area), and let them know, if true, that the economic impact caused by losing your team could potentially impact a decision to relocate out of the area.

If they don't hear from people, then they just assume whatever they want.
Attend city council meetings if you can.
If you keep the Kings in Sacramento, that's something you can tell your future progeny. "They're still here because of me."

1) Go to as many games as possible. I'll be at Portland game next Wednesday. Hopefully, sell out or as many of the remaining games this season.
2) Email city council members - all of them.
3) Email Maloof's and anyone else you think can keep Kings in Sac.
