I'm not as sick as I thought I would be considering how mind-numbingly stupid this deal is. I guess that's the benefit of preparing for the worst. Great job, GP.

Don't even save salary. We just spread it out and got rid of 6-7M in cap room in 2010 and 2011 making it that much harder to grab and free agents.

What a joke

Yeah, kind of disappointing.

But I see that the Kings probably had to include Salmons in order for the Bulls to take Miller's contract. Cause Nocioni has a longer remaining contract than Salmons and I would assume he takes the starting spot or subs in behind Cisco.

So the Nocioni for Salmons swap makes no sense for the Kings. They are just after the Gooden expiring and Simmons expiring.

so what does this mean? gooden start over JT? ill stop watching. We finally get rid of salmons so that Donte can get time and bring back another SF that will definitely take his time despite the fact that he is a 29 year old role player? I can't believe this.

Getting rid of Miller and Salmons for cap space is fine with me. Those two didn't help us much (11 freakin' wins!). Maybe there's more to come, too. ;)

Wow, I hope there is more to come. No Tyrus Thomas or Joakim Noah? If we take on a horrible contract much worse than either Salmons or Miller than we better get something back. Maybe there is a 1st round pick.

This is disgusting.

Worst trade ever, i would rather have kept both of them. WTF is wrong with petrie and maloofs. This trade makes absolutely no sense at all, not for development or financial reasons.

I think Nicioni will start at SF for now with Cisco playing the 2 & 3 off the bench. Greene should see some type of increase in mins.

I doubt Gooden will start over JT as his contract is clearly a cost cutting factor in this deal. The Maloofs want to cut cost bad and asap.

Not sure if its mentioned, but supposedly the Maloofs loss hundreds of millions in the Madoff ponzi scheme.

That's not the point. Nocioni is on the books until 11/12 with a team option for 12/13.

All of our crappy contracts besides Beno were supposed to end this year and next year.

There's a bigger thread in the main forum, so I'm closing this. I could merge it but then some of the comments wouldn't make much sense...
