Yeh confidence goes way up when he is on the floor. It’s interesting because he himself has said he struggles with ultra quick smaller guards. He even cited Brunson as one of his toughest covers.

Best game as a pro and it's not even close. This is the exact use case of why you go draft him with a top 10 pick. He's making Steph's life hell who has to deal with trying to get free of Davion on fresh legs.

Also, how about the big shot after big shot in the 4th from him? He was dynamite tonight and honestly he's been outstanding since the all-star break. Hope this series continues his upward trend and development.

Davion was the team’s MVP to me. Steph made numerous tough shots and got to the line a few times, but had a hard time freeing up for open threes. If Davion can keep making Steph shoot inside the 3pt line, that’s a good thing for us.

Then, after missing several three’s in sitiations that woulda brought the house down, he finally hit one and it was the DAGGER!

Hope we see more of this in SF the next couple games.

There's a few times where Steph is trying to cross him over and you can just see Davion almost instantly shift side to side with him. His reaction time is extremely impressive, sometimes he looks totally unphased by changing direction. He was locked in last night. Its great the shortest guy in our rotation is a physical freak n a bit of a wrecking ball, whos also well disciplined.

We're pressing them! Steph Curry is who were pressing! It's a beautiful thing!

How about that 3 he hit at the end of the game though... By-Far the biggest 3 of his NBA career.. What a game!!

Kuminga on the Warriors went 2 picks before Davion in 2021, they got nothing from him last night 4 minutes played. Kuminga ended the regular season in a blaze of glory too and he's been super quiet so far.

There were a few times when Curry got to the basket on Mitchell, but there is only so much gas in the tank after expending the fuel to escape Mitchell on those plays. I saw Curry taking a breather at the end.

Given the net change in +/- when he is on and off he better plan on not taking any more of those if they want to survive.

Looks like it’s the Kings that “flipped the switch on” for the playoffs and not the Warriors!
Every time this team was tasked with an insurmountable challenge they responded maybe if people had watched instead of written them off at the start people would see this isn't just your average team of overachievers but a purpose built squad.

Curry just had an off night. And he is likely to have some more of them in the next week.
Hopefully only two are required. Then our guys can get a breather before the next series if the rest of the west drags on a bit in the first round.

Davion is a different animal in the playoffs when defense is actually allowed. It also seemed like he built a house of bricks last night but he actually had the most efficient shooting night of any non center on the Kings.

We don't win these games without his defense.
+1. If/when being *physical* is allowed, and it certainly was last night, then Davion is an absolute monster.

Here's the formula:

Intense film study + out-of-this-worldly physical abilities + permission to play physically + ~20-25 min of maximum effort = OFF NIGHT.
