I love a good ol'-fashioned beatdown... The only way this beating could please me more is if it were happening to the Lakers. But I must say that I'm getting a disproportionate amount of glee out of watching FSM get outplayed by Rajon F. Rondo.

As a fan of the NBA I was insulted by the performance of the Knicks tonight. They are supposedly professional players and I expect them to act accordingly - irregardless of whether they like their coach or not. There is absolutely no excuse for this type of behavior and I hope the staters are fined by the NBA and that fans (especially those in New York) protest.

I was rewatching the Kings-Spurs game. What happened?

I am not really sure what was going on - I think it was a deliberate loss on the part of the Knicks starters - they refused to play! They made no effort at all and I have never seen such an incredible lack of professionalism. I was hopping mad! It really makes me angry that they get paid the amounts they do and pull that. I really, really hope there are fines in particular for Marbury and Curry.

^^^ hard to disagree on the lack of professionalism thing. but at the same time...lesser of two evils. i cheer for whatever gets isiah closer to getting canned. my knicks fan friends deserve some hope for the painful years they've been gutting out.

There's something wrong with the Knicks organization, if you ask me. I was saying that when they hired Isiah Thomas, and I'll be saying that until they fire him. If that ever happens.

The problem with the Knicks isn't exclusive to the front office; the same players who've quit on Isaiah Thomas are the same players that quit on Larry Brown. And you can't, in any kind of way, say those two have similar coaching styles... Replacing Thomas isn't going to solve the Knicks' problems, because the Knicks are not coachable.

Until they start weeding players out - and Starbury absolutely need to be one of the first - things aren't going to get any better, IMHO. Where's Whoopi Goldberg when you need her?

There are at LEAST 2 clear sides to this debacle. A few things are clear. The team just flat quit. I do not see how the NBA can tollerate this but what Stern can or will do about it is up for grabs. While the players may be a collection of over-paid primadonas who have decided to sabatoge Zeke, they have the inside track on how bad he is as a coach.

A simple semi-solution is for the Knicks organization to get him off the floor as coach to save the team and keep the fans from burning MSG down to the ground. The problem is no one wants to see the players calling the shots. It's a terrible precident for a team to set, and even worse for the NBA to sanction.

For the good of the NBA and the integrity of the Knicks organization (espcially if the Knicks still have faith in Isiah) the team really needs to bench the entire starting line up and start moving players. Sure there will be a tallnet deficet in the trading but better to get rid of tallent that will not perform even if it only brings back lesser tallent that will perform. Heck even if the Knicks org HAS lost faith in Zeke it might be better to toss the punks BEFORE kicking him up to the front office again.

Sad thing there is no real good course of action here, no matter what the team does the fans lose.

Ticks me off that the Knicks can afford the biggest team salary by far, really, really suck for so long, yet there's no danger the Knicks will move away from NY. With a huge media market and tons of corporate sponsors they don't much have to worry about fans in the seats. (And the fans deserve better.)
