The kings trade 2 bad contracts and get all enders plus 2 kids that we could look to fit into our future. Chandler looks like he can be really good and lee is the scrapper we never had in the glory days. I would also ask for a 1st rounder from CLE since they are getting a good deal here. CLE gets Randolph and Crawford to go next to Lebron and all they have to give up is AV. Wally and Smith are not very good, and a lineup of West, Crawford, James, Randolph and Wallace/Zadrunas is rather formidable. For NY its a now brainer. They dump long term deals to make room for the big 2010 splash but they can still be competitive in the short term. Moore and AV can run in Mikie D's offense and Ron gives them their home town kid.

Thoughts?

For such a big trade it's not a bad idea all around. That's a pretty big gamble for Cleveland but they fill two needs, New York clears contracts for 2010 and the Kings get expirings and young players. I think New York might need a more though -- they're not really getting much back and they could probably dump Zach Randolph and Jamal Crawford on their own, without having to throw in David Lee and Chandler. Not sure that what they get back is enough to offset that.

Interesting idea. I'm assuming you checked it out on trade checker to make sure it worked. The deal breaker could be Cleveland. Randoff's contract is hard to swallow, especially when it comes with Randoff. But, who knows, it might work for them, depending on how desperate they were to aquire help for LaBron.

New York is giving up a lot and getting back very little. Its no secret that they'll do almost any trade to get rid of Randoff, but they seemed to still be high on Lee and Chandler.

As far as the Kings go, sure, I do it. Really not much risk there, and a decent amount of potential.

Nice idea for such a major blockbuster trade. Knicks clear off all the contract space that they need to get Lebron. Cleveland needs to build a team that can win now so that they can attempt to keep Lebron. Kings get some more stockpiled talent and clear off cap space.

The Knicks however may get the raw side of the deal though. Even though they really want to clear off some space for 2010, I really doubt that they would give away so much talent and receive none in return. Artest would not be long for the Knicks and the last thing that anyone wants is someone as unpredictable as Artest with a fan base as unpredictable as New York.

Then again, if they want to get Lebron they need to risk big.

if this goes down i dont think there will be time for either Shelden thompson or LEe to share at the forward spot

I'd like Lee better than Williams. Lee is one of those special x-factor players that doesn't get a lot of attention, but when the game is on the line he does something that surprises you and inspires the team.

After this trade my solution to this big man problem would be to trade Sheldon to Memphis for one of their extra PGs (except for Jaric).
