Check out the Mav website. After losing to San Antonio today, Dallas Mavs fans were really bitter. In their pre-game threads, they talked really badly about Sacramento--stating that the Dallas Mavs faced a Memphis team with the same record over the past 20 games as the Kings and yet they had significantly less problems with the Grizzlies than SA had with the Kings.
Essential point Dallas Mavs making--Spurs are weak and Sacramento proved this. The fact that the series went to 6 games is not proof that Sacramento is a great team, but rather that the Spurs are a weaker team than Dallas, according to the blogs from the Dallas fans.
Now I understand why the Kings fans sometimes are irritated by the Mavs and their fans.
My take on this--
Dallas fans totally bitter snobs.
The reason the Kings went to six games against SA says volumes about the Kings--they assembled a great team since Artest joined them. Spurs were on the ropes against Sacramento and were fortunate to get past the Kings.
Nonetheless, Kings fans--join us in this series. The guys who are belittling the Kings are now our opponent. We would be honored to have the great fans of Sacramento root for us as we face off against the team and the fans who talk so much smack against the Kings. It would be great if we won the series in fewer than 6 games just to show Dallas how much better an opponent that Sacramento was than the Mavs.
