Nobody's talking Wimbledon?

Venus just beat Serena for her 5th Wimbledon title.

Federer and Nadal play men's final tomorrow (Sunday) (for the 3rd consecutive time, I think).

Did anyone see Venus' 127 mph serve the other day? Wicked!!! While it is a Wimbledon record, it does not beat her own record of 129 mph.

Is Tiger Woods playing? ;)

Otherwise, most people aren't interested in anything played on grass outside of football and baseball.

I haven't followed tennis in years, since I played it in high school. The lack of an American star is really hurting the following here. I try and catch a Roddick match now and again, but outside of his mega serve, his all around game is sub-par among the top players in the World.

Watched this morning's match. I was rooting for good tennis and a Venus victory, so it worked out well.

I'm looking for great tennis and a Federer victory tomorrow, although I'll enjoy a close match no matter who wins.

I had some errands to run early this morning so I set my DVR to record the match. I wasn't planning on listening to the radio or being anywhere near a TV, so I figured I'd be okay. After all, this is the middle of the freaking forest, right?

So what happens? I walk in the house, turn on the TV right at the exact moment they're doing a Wimbledon recap. Grrrrrr.

:)

We TiVo'd it as well, but I was watching almost live this morning because our kid woke me up early. Of course, an hour later we were behind with all the pausing, and my wife happened to go online and see the winner. She didn't say who it was but with the timing of it I knew... :|

Quite the match so far today... Nadal has won all the big points so far, but maybe this rain delay will turn things around for Roger and we'll see an epic five setter. :)

I was enjoying it before the rain. Roger does not seem as hungry to win as Nadal, but it is still a good match.

Rain, rain, go away!! :p

I've watched classic matches in my time, but this one will go down in history as one of the most hard-fought examples of tennis excellence I've ever seen.

Congratulations, NADAL!!!

I remember how much you love tennis. I was actually thinking of you while I watched, hoping that maybe, just maybe, you were in the crowd.

:)
I wish! This was unbelievable, every point was hecka good. Rafael Nadal is my favorite, been my favorite player, and will be number one this year. Count on it. Maybe I will go next year! Man, I wish in the crowd, taking pics and everything.
