Not to answer for Spike, but for me, I recognize that there's way less than a 1% chance we hire a full-time coach mid-season. By all appearances, the team will be giving Doug the rest of the year. So I'll give Doug the rest of the year. The answer may be obvious (either good or bad) before then, but for me, he gets to play out the season.
 
I know I'm not going to judge a guy who hasn't even led a full practice.

I'm not judging either way because the coaching of this team is a secondary factor in its performance. Christie could end up with .300 winning percentage and he could still be a good coach. Or not.

That's a fair point, but didn't seem to be a part of the question, which was "how long does he get?"
