Ron Artest met with Indiana Pacers CEO Donnie Walsh and president Larry Bird in Conseco Fieldhouse today about the stalled trade talks with the Sacramento Kings.

Artest drove out of the players’ parking area at Conseco about 1:30 p.m. He had no comment for reporters waiting on the sidewalk.

There was no immediate announcement from the team.

How could he drive out of the parking area 13 minutes from now?

Looks as though whoever wrote that press release made a wee bit of an error.

Half of Indiana is in EST zone, the other half is in CST zone.

this is some messed up **** going on around here.... how about we let peja and bonzi walk, trade miller and thomas for jalen rose and rebuild through the draft? if we dont win any more games we could get a really good draft pick or 2.... then trade bibby for another good pick.... because this trading **** isnt working out all that well....

go kings....

Players I wouldn't mind keeping on the Kings

Bibby
Bonzi
Martin
Garcia
Shareef
Price

Everyone else can go. WE have to keep miller, because it's hard to find centers. He's as unathetlic as they come though. Great jump shot, great passer, but he's walking in quicksand.

Persnally, i would trade any player except Bibby, Bonzi, Miller, and Martin. I would trade anyone else for a new small forward(Pierce) and a new Power F(KG). we would lose depth(if we ever had any) but our starting 5 would be insane(in a good way)

he approved it? very nice...hopefully though whent he trade goes down today it will be peja and maybe hart for artest + Anthony johnson + a pick

the pacers know we need some consolance just incase Artest does play like crap/refuse to play and AJ and a pick would be just that

Bird/Walsh apparently told Artest that he needed to cooperate in this process or they would suspend him without pay for the rest of the season.

Ahh so the voices in his head listen when MONEY is on the line.

Here is pic of Ron leaving Conseco after his meeting w/ Bird. 2 Observations:
1) its the last time Ron will be at Conseco as a Pacer
2) he wore a suit to his meeting (meaning he was serious--that is a good thing--at least he still respects Bird/Walsh)

Uh, they are ALL more stable than Special, and most are good players....
A "good" plauyer is more or less worthless to us at this point. Peja is a "good" player too. We have lots of them. But we need an IMPACT player. None other available for Peja.

Only other choice than getting an impact guy is to just tear it down and go young hoping somebody will develop into an impact guy. Since we seem to be desperately clinging on and refusing to truly rebuild, this is the risk you have to take. Peja for a "good" player is just a wash and leaves us right where we are now.

I have the feeling that if Special comes here we will be begging and pleading for exactly that. Look at Indy and ask them how they feel....

There is no player out there on the same level as Artest that is on the block, maybe paul pirece. But other then that nobody. U could doubt his behavior, but don't doubt his talent.

U could say the same thing about Wells and look at what happened, you can not tell the future and whats going to happen.
