RIGHT......sure. Wow. Yup, it's all on Westphal.Westphal is starting to grow on me. I think the difference between a 15 win season and 25+ win season is all on him.
hahaha, I do think he'll make a positive impact thoughRIGHT......sure. Wow. Yup, it's all on Westphal.
He certainly will, of that I have no qualms. Its the fact that 'Westphal will be the difference between 15 and 25 wins' was said, and thats just plain bullspit.hahaha, I do think he'll make a positive impact though

Dwyane Wade was the Heat's difference between 15 wins and 45 wins, that is a no brainer and also a special circumstance being that Wade is top 3-4 in the game.
I highly doubt that Westphal will be the ONLY reason why the Kings win more games this season. A COMBINATION of a healthy Martin, Tyreke Evans, JT gaining experience, Hawes finding his comfort zone, a lack of Beno running this team, and a stable, smart coach like Westphal running this team will all CONTRIBUTE to the Kings having a better record. But to say it's all on Westphal is ignorance.
So now you wanna pick a fight?Try harder to sound more condescending. It's a good look for you.
So now you wanna pick a fight?
How about this:
Try replying to the topic at hand. If you have a disagreement with what I posted then feel free to back up your reasoning.
Until you have something to contribute to the thread I suggest you keep your observations to yourself, hmm?

kthx mom. No need to back up my reasoning though do I? You're kind of doing it yourself.
I beg to differ but opinions are like, what were those things again, everybody has one....The Kings are not more talented at the start of this year than last. But without seeing a single game I can tell you that the attitude of this team is going to be completely different. That in itself can swing from 15 - 25 wins. We'll see if it does. And the attitude change I attribute to having a REAL coach.
So, the original Westphal comment wasn't ignorant, bull, or necessarily even false. If it has a flaw, maybe it's too obtimistic.
And as far as the observations about you sounding condescending ... those seem to be dead on.

Considering the obvious morale problems related to last year's coaching, he might well be good for an increase like that. But don't try to give him ALL the credit for this year's gains. To do so is unrealistic, and it'll also give you big headaches: a lot of fans will be dying to heap all the credit onto their personal hero(es) within the organization, and lay any blame for it not being better at the feet of their personal scapegoat(s). You'll hear no end of complaints from those whose hero is someone other than Westphal.

BTW, thanks for the condescending compliment you two, they only provoke me to keep it up.
Yeah, I bet I'm gonna get infractions until they are coming out of my ears!Okay...how's this: With the addition of Tyreke, Omri and Brock, the Kings have more young talent to look forward to watching this season. There...oh, and btw, I'm sure the mods will LOVE what's going on in this thread!![]()
Yeah, I know.I find it a bit contentious on your part to be so condescending.![]()
Yeah, I know.
I try. Next time I won't do anything to discourage AM27, however I don't want any credit taken away from ANYBODY on this team that helps turn this around. They need to have Tupac's 'Me Against The World' playing every day in their locker room.
Who's this guy Scapegoat? When did we sign him and what position does he play?![]()
Id say we're more talented than we were at the start of last year. Not by alot but noticeably so. The reason being is that i believe we significantly upgraded one position while all other positions remain at about the same talent level compared to last year. Its a noticeable difference because we swapped a guy who is subpar for a guy who a versatile matchup problem for the opposing team, a difference maker.I disagree that we aren't more talented then we were at the start of last year... all the young guys are better players than when they were at the beginning of last year (ok, not for sure yet, but who thinks they wont improve?) and now we have Noc and Tyreke... not to mention Omri, Brockman, Sean May, Sergio Rodriguez and perhaps Desmond Mason... I would much rather have all those guys than Brad Miller and John Salmons.
Not even close. I might have sounded condescending but in no way shape or form can you contribute a team's improvement on only one single change, except in the very rare instance that I noted. So no, you haven't backed anything up. But thanx for playing!
I believe that Scapegoat works closely with Geoff and the Maloofs, sometimes coaches games, and plays in them too. He is a shapeshifter, and moves through the organization unnoticed. He can pass himself off as Gavin, or Geoff, or KT, or even as Beno's contract. Despite this, we all think we know him when we see him.
Lately, I think he's become the face of the franchise.
tell that to pau gasol.... or shaq... or lebron james.... or phil jackson... or jerry sloan.... one move is all it takes... look at chris webber... one move changed this team in ways that no one could ever imagine.

Then you want me to post odds? This isn't Vegas. How about less than 10% of the time can a win total increase of 10+ games be attributed to only one person. And I'm not talking about putting a team over the hump, I'm talking jumping 5-7 or so teams record-wise which is the gist of this thread.Contradictory statements ftfw.
