NFL 2025-2026 Thread

The Cowboys about to be old Dak, Ceedee, and a bunch of randos coached by a nepo baby who no one really likes.

Well I didn't notice the Packers gave up starting tackle Kenny Clark - hmmm - they must have some depth there.
He ranked 9th in the league at tackles -which and with he 2 first round picks - may favor the Cowboys in this trade......must've been a cap space thing. How good is the replacement for Clark at tackle? You get edge rushing for interior line and run softness perhaps.

Thanks to the Luka trade, this is still not even the worst trade in Dallas sports this calendar year.
I dont think Doncic was even in on that trade either - here I'm sure Parson said fine by me -extra $40million+ or whatever and I bid my overbearing country fried steak owner Jones adeiu. It really does become Alas, not Dallas anymore. I used to hate the Cowboys when they beat up on the 9ers, but that's all gone away....they've never had anyone close to Aikman step in since the 90s. Prescott aside from his 2nd year or so hasn't even looked as good as Romo I dont think.

It's insane to me this stupid franchises somehow scoff at paying a Micah Parsons level player. I cant imagine they were THAT far off in money either.

The answer is you cut elsewhere, you don't can the generational pass rusher

And that will never happen until Jerry/The Jones Family sells the team.

$40.5 vs $47 => $26million dollars difference over 4 years. Guess Jones already gave his best offer and didn't wanna be shown-up.
Parsons is surely happy, that $26million goes immediately toward the taxes.

Ah, well there's no way the Niners could pay that salary so its just as well. I can still be happy that the Cowboys got worse I suppose, though Green Bay getting better is same-same from an NFC rivalry point of view.
Recall last season the 49ers got absolutely toasted by the Packers.......don't play em this year with their Rainbow Brite schedule

He looks giddy on camera at ATT Center everytime - I wonder if they will sell the team - certainly not Jones though these days. Don't get his Prescott backing either. Finding a great QB aint easy in the NFL.

Yeah that 27 mil over 4 years when you're NOT winning a super bowl seems pretty important

Well they aren't going anywhere with Prescott, and now that really goes.....tanking might be a good idea. With the extra 2 - probably later - 1st round picks they can explore going after a QB with possibly 3 other impact players.

Jerry is the final form of Vivek Ranadive though. That dude is never ever tanking, while he's alive

Ticket for the Seahawks week 1 game in Seattle v SanFran? $235 for nosebleeds (and likely plane/hotel tickets) - No thanks

Yeah a terrible offseason shaping up for the Kings after an ok draft considering their picks and relative positions. Regarding Cowboys, I see the trade gave the Eagles a 0.5 point boost in the odds with some outfits in week 1.

Browsing the Cowboys Reddit and watching those guys gaslight themselves into how Micah Parsons actually isn’t everything he’s cracked up to be is hilarious.

Unfortunately I dont see much of an NFL opener - not that even with Parsons that was gonna be the case any way. And then Friday forget the Chargers vs the Chiefs - Chargers always find a way to lose to the Chiefs and Herbert has looked like crap of late. The best game of the weekend won't be easily televised with the Packers vs Lions, with Raven v Bills a close 2nd.

Clay has it right, the 49ers defense is terrible looking. 28/32 sounds right with their tackles/CBs/Safeties swiss cheese.

Bunch of young guys need to develop. Most corners take a little while to turn into something. Lenoir is a good example.

They may "need" to, but that doesn't mean they will......Lenoir is average. Others are below average, especially Pinnock. Green is a walking penalty flag. Even with the easiest schedule in the NFL, the defense is gonna have problems. They're gonna put alot of pressure on the offense and Purdy to score.

Yeah I'm just saying with defensive backs, you can't always judge their first year or two. A lot of the time they go from unplayable to pretty solid later on. The core here is basically made up of year 1 and 2 players so I'm not expecting much this year. I mean you look at Lenoir early on and it was hard to squint and ever see him as average.
