I dont hate the Lakers anymore.....I hated the old team with Shaq, Fox, and especially Bryant, but for me its been more about players/coaches. I still hate the Patriots because of Bitchellchek. I hate the Chiefs because of Mahomes and Kelsey. Had the Eagles beaten the 49ers un-cheaply I probably would've been more angry tonight, but I partially liked the Eagles getting some retribution even if it was by the hated Chiefs. It was gonna be a bad outcome either way just like the Seahawks/Patriots 2015 Superbowl. The 49ers would've had the same problem against the Chiefs - and get clowned like the Eagles whose secondary allowed 3 2nd half walk-in TDs - completely folded just like the 49ers 3 years ago. The Bengals got screwed by some weird re-downing that was BS.....I would've been much happier if it were the Bengals in the SuperBowl, whom I would've clearly supported for the game. We get berserker yelling Smelcey and Texan BBQ Mahomey post game jamboree. Yay.

Inside 5 yards, no actual grabbing or impeding, clearly uncatchable ball, gave away the super bowl. A totally meritless call that gives away a championship can only be matched but not surpassed (assuming weight for context)

I agree it was uncatchable but Bradberry himself said it was a hold and he was hoping they would let it slide. He didn’t need to do it. And this coming from a birds fan haha
what's he gonna say? it's the kind of call you can call every down but they never do. It was the first defensive hold of the game and it basically ruined what could have been an epic final two minutes between two high octane offenses with a bunch of kneel downs to kick a FG. garbage.
There's no way to tell if it gives away the championship; no guarantee the Eagles equalize - but would've given them a chance. The score-line was already altered by the bad non-fumble call earlier which would've made it 28-24 going forward in the 3rd Q. Since that didn't happen, the score-line was different. Eagles folded and deserved the loss ultimately. They had a 24-14 halftime lead and managed a FG and TD while letting the Chiefs score 3 TDs and a FG. The game was reminiscent of the 49er loss, who had the defense that year too but folded in the 4th Q. The Bucs whooped the Chiefs in 2021 with Mahomes having turf-toe (probably worse than his ankle sprain) and a patch-work scrubville offensive line - and I loved every minute of it.
I'll definitely concede that was 100% a catch and a fumble by the old standards of the game. I hate the new catch/non-catch rules that are just a friggin embarrassment and do not pass the eye test as they are commonly applied.
Indeed, I'm no Chiefs fan, but that was clearly a pivot into the tackle if only for a 1/4-1/2 second - a move to reorient after catching. . Utter trash. The fact that he was able to square up just before the tackle was obvious and fits into "football move" he didn't tackle him simultaneously at all, or force the ball out upon arrival - there was a clear delay....incompetent f#ks....

Yes, and the "football move" standard as well - like when a player ropes the ball in with one hand and transfers it into another into the standard running with the ball grip with the other, that's full control, I don't care if he is tackled a split second later and it comes out when he hits the ground, he frickin transferred the ball between hands, and got his feet down. But they will un-catch those upon review all day now. Even overturning the calls on the field.
This article from the RSS feed really has no businesses getting scooped onto the site, and I don't want to debate the merits of renaming the club, but holy hell are some KC fans living in an alternate reality.
there's already two pro sports teams with the Kings so I can not get behind that idea.

Was fun to see the lions have success this year. Fun stuff like the video below seems to help build team chemistry. Their rook had to sing Billie Jean in front of the whole team.

Evaluated purely on money? Yeah just because contracts are so crazy these days.
Otherwise, I'd throw Gannon into the mix as career backup who suddenly had a really nice run with the Raiders

Gannon is definitely up there too. I think performance wise Geno has to be the biggest turnaround story because he was hot garbage for 7 years, got a little run at the end of his 8th season where he played well and then exploded this year. Nuts

Yeah, Geno's run this past year was totally unexpected. In fact, he wasn't even listed on the sheet for comeback player of the year odds before the season (at least at the casino where I looked at it) and then won it. I went to his games in Morgantown when he was at WVU and was one of the top college QBs for the first two thirds of his last college season, so it's cool to see him finally get a chance and then succeed

49ers are announced to have 7 compensatory draft picks. Three of which are in the third round, one in the fifth, one in the in sixth and two in the seventh.
Funny all the belly aching I read about how the Niners gave up so much draft picks for CMC and we get them back outside the second rounder just by building a strong organization of people that other teams want to hire.
