Herbert flipping up deader and wobblier ducks than JimmyG on his worst day. Lmao
Lol the Niners lost to these dorks. Gonna lose to the Chargers in two weeks too. Neat.
A lot of players returning to the practice field today for the #49ers: Jason Verrett, Nick Bosa, Trent Williams, Jimmie Ward to name a few.

Stunner: Panthers are trading Pro-Bowl RB Christian McCaffrey to the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for draft picks, sources tell ESPN.

This doesn't address QB and Offensive Line - the real problems - my feeling is Lance is a bust and Garrapolo is only a backup......this offense is not good enough for top competition this year - and you see what happens when the defense incurs major injuries - the team can't compete against a middle-of-the-pack team in the Falcons. And that includes the offensive line. On the trade, that's too much draft capital for McCaffery -- reeks of desperation. Having McCaffrey doesn't change how mediocre the offensive line and QB has looked. Red herring.

Getting the best tackle in all of football back does though.
What positions are they hamstrung at exactly? Not enough........they blew it earlier - they needed picks for a QB selection. Now they've hamstrung themselves for other positions due to the amount of picks. Not seeing it.
The offensive line isn't bad, the back-up tackles have been bad. When you get the best Tackle in football back and a reasonable starter in McGlinchy, that unit is going to be good again. The young guards and Banks especially have far exceeded expectations and been pretty dang good.
And no duh the defense looked bad... tell me what team could afford losing their entire starting secondary, their entire starting D-Line and a starting LB?

Banks has been in the upper tier of guards this season and Burford has been pretty good for a rookie day three pick. The weakest position for the Niners o-line has been center and even there Brendel has been solid enough.
At the skill positions, Deebo, Kittle, CMC, and Juice are all locked in for the next several seasons and Aiyuk has at least another season under team control.
On defense, Armstead, Mooney Ward, Warner, Drake Jackson, Greenlaw, and Jimmie Ward are all under contract around the same time frame with Bosa and Hufanga both up for extensions in the semi-near future as restricted free agents.
As the Rams have proven, people tend to place way too much value on picks in the NFL, a league where UFAs are just as likely to end up being stars as most day two picks.
