NFL 2022-2023 Season Thread

Brock Purdy needs more games - its early but I'm encouraged - he's snatched this opportunity. Love his throws during evasion and scrambling. Fearless. I'm Purdy excited for the 49ers.

Purdy looks like a damn good QB folks.

He's getting the ball out quick, being aggressive when the opportunity is there, has some wiggle to evade pressure. That Aiyuk TD was underthrown, but he hung in there to a free rusher and was a great read to hold the ball, know he's going to get hit and be aggressive to go for the tuddy. The CMC TD was a perfect back-shoulder throw that only he could get while looking at the pressure in his face. His feel in the pocket is really dang good and he can still go through his reads under pressure.

Most of all (and probably the most impressive thing) from him is the dude just looks ready to play. Has some insane moxy out there and just plays like he's in total control of the offense. You can tell when a young QB (ahem, Malik Willis) just isn't ready for NFL football. Honestly a pretty amazing sports story, one of the coolest in awhile. Let's hope he keeps it going

See how Purdy does IN SEATTLE......my spidey sense says Purdy may be legit....continuing this kind of performance is difficult though. He had a pick in there that he got lucky a penalty bailed him out. Still, the offensive potentiometer inherited another possible rung, and this 49ers offense completely needs that kind of spark to compete against the other top teams and playoffs. Commanders game is a possible Wild-Card preview.

He's got a bunch of hurdles to continue to clear for sure. But man, all we need is for him to get the ball out quick to the playmakers and not turn it over. That gives us a chance to still go compete for a superbowl. If he's going to continue to be a playmaker like he has been though? Oh boy, now we're cookin

49ers can clinch the playoffs with win over Seachickens due to tie-breaker - cortisone shot to oblique and ready to go. Consider - Seahawks have the 2nd worst rush defense in the NFL....Purdy could probably sit and 49ers could win. However, this is a good primer for him with deafening Seattle crowd. No Russell Wilson to the rescue. Seahawks deserve praise for being competitive this season, but would rather see the Lions.

I don't think the Niners stand a chance if JJ starts. The running game is good but it's not good enough to cover for a QB who will surely struggle to even throw for 100 yards when the opposing QB is throwing 300+ nearly every game.

There’s no way Gino throws for 300+ vs the Niners defense. Niners D averages 211 passing yards against. If he throws for 300+, something went terribly wrong.

Its not just the NIners running game, remember, its also the lack of run defense on the Seahawks. There is another intangible - the Seahawks have alot more riding than the 49ers. It will be no Bucs blowout.
