Just as I feared when they said it was his foot and not his ankle. Possibilities really narrow down when it’s a foot injury and we were likely to find out it was broken. Jimmy was playing very well during this streak. It’s a shame for him. Wasn’t making mistakes and had a few big ones.
Purdy looks like he can manage based off today and he’ll get his week of practice with the main guys..let’s hope it doesn’t turn into a Mullens situation but it changes the outlook. If it is bound to become a Mullens situation it is best we find out as soon as possible so we can find some vet to scrape off the couch. I assume they’ll be doing that this week anyway instead of just promoting the practice squad QB to second…they should look with the expectation that the QB they hire will have to take over the reins

What an awful injury for Jimmy and the 9ers. He was headed to a $100m+ payday and the 9ers were looking like one of the favorites to win it all... completely fell apart for both sides.
Purdy played as well as anyone could've expected a 3rd string rookie QB who was drafted dead last in the draft However, he's not talented enough to lead a NFL team through the playoffs.
The NFL needs to have some type of qb injury trade exception. We have no real options aside from riding with Purdy. A washed Cam Newton or Fitzpatrick does very little for us.
