I for one am shocked a bottom 10 overpaid always injured QB can’t find a new home.

can’t help but feel you’re letting your personal bias against Jimmy cloud your thinking on this one. Teams are still going to need QBs once the Watson bomb drops and there’s always going to be an injury come training camp.

there’s no reason to unload an asset for a less than ideal deal just because everyone else is moving QBs around like crazy over the last week.

He wanted to be a lead back. Obviously wasn’t happing with Elijah Mitchell here. Probably a better chance for him to recoup his market value in a Miami close to his hometown rather than as a third down back in San Francisco.

Between the two of them we’d have had one full season of a healthy running back.

Except one of them isn’t coming off a catastrophic knee injury entering his age 30 season

And the other one is undersized and there’s serious questions about it he can withstand the punishment of a full NFL season? I don’t get the argument here?

Spending our limited cash on an injury-prone RB (as much as I like Mostert) just doesn't make sense. You traded up to get Sermon, you clearly found a gem in Mitchell. Shanny trusts Mitchell. Just have to run with them as your 1-2.

Elijah Mitchell isn’t undersized though? The writing was on the wall the second Deebo started lining up in the backfield. The guy’s essentially filled the exact same role Mostert had as the classing outside zone home run hitter while also being an all-pro receiver.
The Niners still have Mitchell and Sermon and Hasty under contract and nine draft picks to work with.
Plus we don’t know if we’re going to be running as much classic running stuff now that we’ve got Lance in the backfield instead of Jimmy.

Baker having to go back to the Browns after posting his goodbye note would be great television.
Did they call him a child and now say they want him back? WTF.

Also I can't believe how many teams are willing to sign Watson. I remember the Pats drafting a guy with one allegation on him and cutting him before camp. IN 1995!!! And after almost 20 years in Portland this is total nonstarter lol.

I guess the main difference is that Watson's a top five QB in the league and these teams are extremely desperate for quarterbacks and the NFL has shown itself to be utterly unconcerned with allegations of violence against women in the past.

I thought the Pats were rumored for Collins wonder if with a release that is off the table.
