The Niners getting to the NFCCG with Jimmy G is pretty much the only audition tape McDaniel needs. Tua's essentially become a left-handed version of Jimmy since coming into the league.

While it would suck losing another of Kyle's lieutenants this offseason, I'm much more confident we'd survive losing an offensive coach or two than if DeMeco left and took most of the defensive staff with him.

Also McDaniel is a minority hire so the Niners would get two more bonus third round picks.

Maybe the Niners can turn around and trade those two thirds plus another third and get one of their firsts back?!? Though I suspect the Niners see three thirds as better than a late first.

With the way the roster's shaping up, they'd probably be better served keeping the thirds as is and nabbing depth at multiple positions. THey'll probably also have an extra pick or two from trading Jimmy G too. Obviously getting a first rounder would be nice but even getting a second or a third would be great.

I think the Niners still have a compensatory pick from the Saleh hire last season so I'm not sure if the McDaniel picks would stack up on that this season or just roll over to the season after next when our compensatory pick from the Mike Mayhew hire conveys.

Yea, I agree. I actually like the possible players in rounds 3-4 this year. Ucla, alone, has some dudes who are going to go in rounds 3-6 that I think would be perfect for this Niners team. Quinton Lake, Quantrez Knight, Greg Dulcich, Alec Anderson, Kyle Phillips, and Sean Rhyan to name a few.

The way picks are valued in the NFL, I don't think Jimmy garners any 1st's or 2nd's. At most a third or a high 4th. Miami, Denver, Pittsburgh, or Cleveland could be landing spots. He's gonna be waiting till Wilson and Rodgers decide where they are going first.

Personally Id bet jimmy lands with Miami after they hire McDaniel.

Sam freakin’ Darnold got a 2nd and more. I think a desperate team might give a 2 because QBs are just on a different level. At least I’m trying to convince myself that. Haha

And as much as we clown Jimmy on this forum, he is a starting NFL QB and there's a good chunk of starting QB's that were significantly worse than him this season. I don't think it's crazy he gets a 2 at all from a team that's looking to win now; Washington, Pitt, Tampa.

He's been significantly better than any other QB we've had. When he plays close to a full season, we've made the superbowl and been just a few plays away from making a 2nd superbowl.

The other QBs combined have never won more than 3 games in a season.

As infuriating as he can be, that means something.

I can’t imagine him winning much without Shanahan’s non-choke playbook, Deebo and Kittle doing their YAC King things (or as it was for most of this late season Kittle essentially being another boss offensive lineman) a good series of running backs, Trent Williams, and a solid defense backing him up. Yeah, he’s better than Beathard and Mullens but that’s a bar that’s not hard to clear. It’s going to be really interesting to see that’s for sure.

If lynch can con some team into giving up a 2nd ILL TAKE IT!! And maybe we can give lynch an extension as a reward!

As was pointed out above, jimmy performed the way he did with some serious weapons on both sides of the ball. I think most gm’s realize this and won’t be inclined to overpay for jimmy. Jimmy is what he is. Unless you have a coach shanny tailoring your game for jimmy and weapons like Deebo, kittle, aiyouk, mitchell, and an all pro defense to make up for jimmy shortfalls, be careful on what you spend on the guy.
