I do not understand how anyone can throw support behind Jimmy.

Oh wait. I can. Blindly shouting “BUt 23-8 thOUgH!”

how do you sign that ridiculous lopsided deal and blow it like that (although I do wonder if since most of this stuff predates this contract he's getting an under the table buyout).

Surely some sort of "severance" being that Gruden reportedly resigned. But now his status is one of a pariah. Hard to imagine Gruden ever again being NFL head coach or national network color analyst.

For sure. One thing would blow over with time. Every single demo under the sun? He gone for good.

Well I think there's one demo a little more ticked with Chapelle right now but Gruden's got the rest of em.

This was easy to see happening watching his college highlights - I wrote of this before he even played in an NFL game......honestly you can't play FB-QB in the NFL and expect not to get injured. Its not like Lance's running style in college is gonna magically change in the NFL. That goal-line run was very close to a concussion by itself. Shanahan brand of offense is an injury-rodeo.

you guys are depressing. c'mon fellas.
The Niners lost a game in which Aaron Rodgers did his magician thing, another game where their kicker strained his groin in warmups and couldn't play, and a game against the last undefeated team in the league that also happened to be their rookie QB's first start (in which they were also missing their All-Pro tight end).

It feels weird calling all those games fluky losses but, the way people are posting, it feels like they got blown out by 50 every week.

And they almost blew a game to the no-win Lions, barely beat the not good Eagles, and Jim is coming back.

There’s not a lot to love here.
