We need to intercept that flight before he gets there. We need him for Seattle.

I don’t think Uncle Sherm is as washed as he showed last season: he made a (failed) business decision to take plays off in a lost season to preserve his health for one more paycheck.
The issue is that the Bucs are even more desperate for a cornerback than we are. Josh Norman is somehow possibly playing this weekend and Moseley and Lenoir are at least solid and Dre Kirkpatrick and Donte Johnson at least have pulses. By comparison, the Tampa secondary is Swiss cheese. They might just plop a bunch of money down on the table before Sherm‘s plane even hits the tarmac.

I’m bitter we took Banks instead of Asante Jr. Him and Lenoir as the CB future with literally any other OL where we drafted Ambry Thomas would have been such a better draft.

((For the record, I wanted Asante Jr on draft day so this isn’t hindsight 20/20!))

I know a not far off from elite CB who is available for the right price.

The Stephon Gilmore situation is so weird. You watch the Pats play and notice immediately that they could really really use him on defense and Belichick absolutely gushes about his abilities and then he's promptly banished to the PUP list because of his contract dispute with the Pats not really even bothering to shop him around.

The fact Gilmore makes as much as he does makes it hard for the Niners to trade for him without Jimmy G back to the Pats though.

If he’s in a good state of mind I won’t be shocked if he’s instantly early-years-Niners level again. Dude dogged it last season. Lost season, no fans, one last chance at a contract.

This team is giving me lite Harbaugh final year vibes. They’re not as good as they once were. The coach is stubborn and bullheaded. There’s a solid chance they’re going to get run by Seattle on Sunday.

I hope Jed tweets out his disgust and Lynch grows some man marbles and tells Kyle to make Jim kick rocks shortly thereafter.
