Buy that Sherfield stock.

I’m glad Hurd got through a game healthy. Hopefully he regains even a little burst as he continues to learn to trust his legs again, and hopefully the dropsies were “This is my second game at receiver in 3 full years” butterflies and less chronic style.

They’ve been catching dead ducks from Jimmy, Beathard, and Mullens for the last 3 seasons. None of them are used to the smoke! That said, Trey does need to dial it back, which he showed a little of today… AND THEY STILL DROPPED THEM!

"MY QB throws the ball too fast :( " is an excuse for high school receivers, not professional NFL ones. I get he Trey needs to learn some touch, but if a ball hits you in the hands in the NFL as a receiver, you better catch the damn ball.

Which is why a lot of the “panic” about Trey is silly. People are acting like he’s an inaccurate mess when receivers missed 30% of catchable balls dropping his completion percentage 20+ Points. Lol, they’ll figure it out. And Trey will also add some touch as we go. He already started in that last game.

I'm really excited about Mac but I hope Cam asked out when Mac was named the starter and it wasn't all based on vax status.

Also interesting to see BB playing a game of chicken with Gilmore if it's true the PUP is contract based. He's usually right when it comes to not giving players a raise and if the team is any good I guess Gilmore would be back at the end of the season if he isn't traded.

But the entire sports reporting universe told me Trey isn’t close and Mac is basically already a pro.

WHO DO I BELIEVE?!

Jones reminds me of Rivers a little bit.....preseason is hardly anything to get too elated or upset about. As the Pats line goes so does he. I won't be upset watching Jones get sacked as long as Belichek is coach. They're owed more losing seasons after the last 20 years.

Oo I like it. Such little downside and we've already seen with Verrett what the potential upside is on swings like this. Even if he doesn't, it'd be hard to believe Norman isn't one of the top 4 CB on the team as the biggest weakness the 49ers have.

Verrett has had alot of injury problems over his career earlier with Chargers - like clockwork several different years. He's got to watch out to stay healthy. The biggerst question is how will Bosa fare....there's much riding on that defensively - namely 49ers being elite defensively or just good.
Hoping the team doesn't get cut-down like last year. They have insurance at QB (for now). Divisional games should be especially fun. I still loathe the Seachickens.

I could do with less Jac Collinsworth and Mike Florio but the NFL on NBC with Brees and Maria Taylor on it is the least terrible of all the major network pregame shows.

Also Mike Tirico jumping ship to NBC to replace Al on PBP happened like five years go and he’s still stuck doing pregame shows because Al Michaels is an indomitable announcing machine.

Hot take: I’d be more impressed by Brady’s seven rings if he hadn’t won them all in some of the worst jerseys in football.
