Yeah, combination of his talent around him sucking and a few really poor-decision making throws. Looked great on like 8 of his throws, really poor on the other 4.

As hype as those first drives were, those last three were “Unstartable Rookie” level.

Yeah the tough part with Lance is when you make the switch, you can't really make the switch back. So if you go with him week 1, you got to live with it if he has the learning curve.

I think the 49ers are kind of in a win-win situation. Give him some time to sit behind Jimmy G. If we start slow like 3-3, you can make the change with no pressure. If we start 6-0...great we're 6-0 lol. We really are one of the rare teams with an elite QB rookie prospect that can afford to give him some time to work in slow.
