Next Summer's free agents

Well, we blew it this summer, but is there a slight chance we don't blow it next summer?

Our roster has some serious holes that could potentially be fixed

These guys could potentially help. Realistically, I think we'd have a chance at Batum and/or McGee. Both could be good a good fit. Gordon's a possibility if you could move Thorton. The rest either aren't coming here or wouldn't be ideal fits next to Cousins.

Deron Williams, New Jersey Nets
Eric Gordon, New Orleans Hornets
Nic Batum, Portland Trail Blazers
Dwight Howard, Orlando Magic
Roy Hibbert, Indiana Pacers
Andrew Bynum, L.A. Lakers
Brook Lopez, New Jersey Nets
JaVale McGee, Washington Wizards

I have no faith left in this team to sign anyone. They had 25$ million in cap space and couldn't even resign Dalembert or pick up J.J. Barea or Jamal Crawford. Either players just flat out don't want to be here at any price or the Maloofs don't have the kind of money it takes to outbid other teams.

At this point the only hope I have for this team is a big trade or getting lucky in this year’s draft.

You need to separate them into unrestricted and restricted before doing anything else.

Yeah, we have zero chance of picking up a half decent free agent. Not with the Maloofs in charge. At this point its a trade or bust.

If we thought last summer was tough, just wait until this summer. Who the hell would want to come here?

We would need quite a considerable turn around for FA's to even consider us this summer. Still think our best shot is packaging our top pick, but wedon't even know if that will be pissible at this point, due to another poor decision by our franchise. JJ is really tearing it up, isn't he? He was worth Casspi, but sure as hell wasn't worth Casspi plus the pick.

One thing that may help is if the arena is a go by this summer. The arena situation and not knowing where the team will even be has to be a pretty big deterrent for FAs.

We own the pick unless we unless we make the playoffs. The pick is so protected it might as well not have been included in the deal. Our 1st rounder is still very tradeable.

There is no point in looking at what FAs will be available since this team will not be spending money. Plain and simple!

The owners are broke and the only thing they are interested in is getting to the minimum each year.

Players all leading their teams to championship after championship, damn you Maloofs! ;)

Yet, they threw out offers to guys that didn't end up here, if they had accepted would they have "spent" money then? They offered Crawford more money but a bench role with no guarantees as to his role. AK47 wanted to stay in Russia. Honestly, you think it would have been better to spend all the space, come out looking like this ANYWAY, and then had no hopes for next summer? Think about it for minute.

I don't think there's any chance the Kings are this bad with Crawford and AK 47. They're exactly the kind of excellent veteran players that the Kings sorely lack.

They will have spend about $5 mil more next year to meet the min salary requirements ! Maybe they can give some over the hill 35 year old a 5 year 30 mil deal.

This summer's free agents? Not a chance. Next weeks trade or trades, that's where it has to begin happening. If we can't do it trades and the coming draft then it won't happen.

McGee would be awesome to pair with Cousins.
Especially if Washington goes down the drain this season, I don't think they would sign McGee for big $$$, especially if you consider his recent McGee-Mama issue. :D

Doesn't the Russian season end Feb. 15th? AK and Wilson Chandler might be available at that point. You'd think he'd have to WAY overpay to get people to join such a terrible organization.

That must be chinese because Kirilenko is not going anywhere until he won Euroleague in early May. It is probably the reason he decided to stay in Russia - to win Euroleague and MVP title.
