So, is this going to be basically Inside Stuff, but just about the Kings? I don't suppose there's any chance that this will be made available online?

anybody else watching the kings central show tonight? really fantastic to see the ways this team has bonded off the court. it goes a long way towards explaining why things are clicking so well on the court. this is a team.

Any clue what ch it's on, for Direct TV? For mines CSN+(where the Kings are showed) usually blacks out after the kings game.

Lots of people on Dish and DirecTV have the same problem. Unless you get your TV from Comcast or are within the immediate Sacramento area, you don't get the special program. Not a happy camper.

If you're a Dish customer, you might want to check your listings for tomorrow - ch. 438 - at 4 p.m. Mine says "Kings Central". I'm setting my DVR to record all episodes, just in case. :)

It was also mentioned on Twitter that DirecTV has it listed at the same time on 698.

Yeah, it was a nice little "featurette" show about the Kings.

I enjoyed watching more Kayte - but I'm concerned at how little basketball analysis they are having her do, and how much "prettied up and smiling" work they're having her do.

She's way too knowledgeable to only do this "pretty" work.

I don't usually do this but, +1

The day that Kayte replaces Old Man Reynolds in the booth can't come soon enough.

Yep, that's what happened to me. I was watching, and they started the intro, and I said "whoa, what's this?" And the screen went black.

On the other hand, the Kings won a game I thought they might lose, so overall it was a good day.

Even down here in SoCal desert the Direct TV ch-698 for Kings games blacks out immediately after each game, home or away. So, Boo Hoo, guess we miss Kayte's new show as well, eh? (lots of SnowBirds in our neighborhood.)

No thank you, this isn't the WNBA.
I really hope you're making some satirical point that evades me, because if not then this is probably the most sexist thing I've read on this board.

What does the WNBA have to do with Kayte working Kings' games in a larger, deeper role that utilizes her strengths in basketball analysis?

What does Kayte being a woman have to do with her being demonstrably more knowledgeable, more insightful, and better to watch than ANYone (male or female) the Kings' broadcast has ever had broadcast games?

She's the best NBA analyst in the Kings' broadcast team, and it's not even close.

This very well may be the first time I have greed with you.

The funny thing is, if you look far back enough, you can find threads where Nikefutbolero indicates that he is pro-Kayte (the threads have largely been removed, but mods can still see them). If, at some point, he decided that he didn't like her any more, he managed to keep it to himself, until Kayte got arrested for DUI. Ever since then, he has seemed psychologically incapable of passing up any opportunity to make sure everyone on Kings Fans knows exactly how little he thinks of her.

The unsolicited and unprovoked cheap shot at the WNBA, I can't explain. But, then again, I'm a single, hetero, black, male WNBA fan under forty (which is a niche of a niche of a niche of a niche of a niche), so I've grown to expect such things.

I agree with the guy above and I am a married, hetero, white male who wishes he was under forty.

Outisde of sexism, what on Earth does that have to do with anything? She's not being asked to suit up, and a woman can analyze the game as well as a man. In the case of Kayte, far better than almost any of them.

Get in line with your question.

You need to stop this NOW. I don't know who you think you are and what qualifies you to make sexist comments, but you're going to need to find somewhere else to make them. In case you haven't noticed, women can do all kind of things besides look pretty and cook. We actually got the vote a few years back and have even been elected to major offices.

Jerk.
