New Shot Clocks

#1
The NBA implemented new shot clocks that will show tenths on the shot clock under 5 seconds.

The Kings have new clocks over the basket. It is definately a change. There is one above the basket that faces the other basket. No more cube. They have another flat clock way back at the start of the basket extension.

I bet there are spots on the floor that don't have good views of the shot clocks especially if a defender is in the view of the back one. I can already see someone complaining about the lack of vision of the clocks.

So they don't just have them right where al the old ones were? Seems like that would have been the logical route to go.

Yeah, I saw them at the Warriors game in Sac.

Brick, think of the new shot clocks almost like a "T" over the backboard (looking down on it in plan view). The top of the "T" faces halfcourt is separated from the "|" part of the "T", so basically you have two separate clocks perpendicular to each other. The new clocks are also thin and two-sided, so basically you can see the clock from anywhere. From halfcourt you are looking at the top of the "T". From the corners you are looking at the sides of the "|". And from the stands you are looking past the "|" at the underside of the "T".

If that makes any sense at all!
