NEW! Personnel Moves forum

In response to the people who really didn't like having to post ALL trades in one thread, and to serve the wishes of those who just don't like having to wade through trade threads, draft pick predictions, etc., a new forum has been created.

PERSONNEL MOVES is for trade rumors, trade proposals, draft pick discussions, and other potential personnel moves such as wanting to fire someone, wanting to hire someone, etc. This is the "what if" section. If a trade or hiring actually occurs, it will continue to be posted in the main forum.

We know this make take a little while to adjust to, but it's being done on a number of other boards quite successfully.

Now, if you have a new trade idea to present you don't have to post it in the million-post thread and worry about it getting lost. If you've seen a rumor about a trade, you don't have to worry about it being already posted in the middle of the same thread.

We're hoping this will give both those who love playing "what if" a place to post those speculative threads AND those who hate having to "wade" through all those "what if's" a way to avoid them.

Thanks to all for understanding and helping us keep Kingsfans.com the #1 Sacramento Kings Online Community!

GO KINGS!!!!

VF21-- I respectfully disagree with this idea. So in effect, this just leaves the main forum as a "cheerleading" forum-- I think reading posts about potential deals, rumors, etc. is pretty good exciting and would like to continue to see it in the main forum.

Just my 2 cents.....

A lot of other boards split things up this way as well and it seems to work fine. I'm sure if discussion in the main forum gets slowed down they will move things back the way they were.

BayAreaKingsFan - If you think all those things are exciting, then you'll be spending a lot of time in the new forum. ;) Keep in mind the Personnel Moves is for potential moves, so trade rumors, etc. will go there. Actual trades will continue to be posted and discussed in the main forum, as will game threads, articles about the Kings, etc.

By moving the "what if" stuff to a new forum, Jeremy actually made it much easier for people who do like to talk trades because the requirement to post all trade ideas in one thread has been eliminated.

The forum separation makes it easier, since we are such an active site, for a wider variety of topics to be readily available on the first page of the index of each forum.
