Need info on Fire

VF21, so they are saying that the fire in the Plumas National Forest has burned about 3,000 acres. Where is in in relation to you? We will need you to check in with us often with updates.

Oops. Sorry, just saw this.

I can't even see the smoke from where I am. The fire is on the other side of the forest, quite a ways away from me. You can follow the progress on fighting it HERE

It was pretty scary at first, though. The initial fire reports from Plumas National Forest headquarters said they were still checking to see how many lightning-caused fires were burning on the forest.

I've been watering around my house and on my roof most of the evening, just in case. ;)

I love living here but the thought of wildland fires scares the you-know-what out of me. The link I posted above is really pretty comprehensive and will usually have the most up-to-date information.

Thanks for the concern. It's deeply appreciated.

Good to know VF. I thought of you right away when I heard about this fire. Glad to hear you're alright. :)

Glad its not near you VF. Unfortunately, I think this is going to be a long summer and fall for CA firefighters. :(

I was wondering about ya, too! Glad 6th started a thread to report your condition up in the sticks. Freezing in the winter, burning up (literally) in the summer...what a great place to live. Glad YOU love it. :p

Glad to hear you're OK, VF...and thanks for the link. My parents have a cabin at Bucks Lake and I was happy to see that it wasn't near them either.
