I know Dirk always had questions about his game and eventually won one after all the doubts, but I think the question of whether or not a big like Jokic can win when it counts with his lack of pnr defensive ability are waaay bigger. The Mavs built a perfect defensive team around Dirk, but I'm not sure how you do it with Jokic. He's got to destroy offensively to get it done or he needs like 2 other HOF level talents with him.

Yeah, they have to be the one to root for. And this unfortunately is the year if healthy they might have had the most talent on paper in the West without a true super team to face off with in either conference.

The thing about the Nuggets roster is that even if Murray and MPJ were healthy, they only gave Mike Malone one, yes one, plus defender to work with (Gordon) and a whole roster of bad defenders around their immobile on defense star center who also can't block shots at a high rate.

I think that aside from a two minute stretch, when Aaron Gordon picked up four quick fouls in a game, and JaMychal Green was unavailable, Cousins has only played for the Nuggets when Jokic was on the bench, and vice versa.
