Could be, but so what? Personally, I don't give a damn what the Thunder, Grizzlies or Rockets' records are in February. Not a single one of those teams has a guy who has actually gotten the job done when the money was on the line. They have to prove it, to me. So if ESPN wants to carry water for the legacy franchises and act like the teams in the lead are not an actual threat to contend, who cares? I thought that fans got off on all that "Nobody believed in us!" stuff, anyway.
Also, since when did it become a virtue to not screw over Danny Ainge? **** that guy.
Didn’t we have at least one player do it to us? Jet? Just say “nah” and not show up? Granted I’d think most players happy to leave Charlotte for LA. Worked out well for Monk.
Yeah, the clear guess is Williams didn't pass the physical. He's got a bit of a history right? Lakers are actually getting bailed out a bit here. Ah well.
Mark Williams is an exciting from a tale of the tape standpoint with an even higher standing reach than Wemby but they would’ve regretted that deal pretty quickly.
Williams has never been healthy and they gave up too much for him.
You know I think Atlanta did really well for themselves smart the deadline. They got a bunch of assets and Niang, Mann and Lavert might be enough to keep them in the playin race. Obviously no reason to tank
Man, I hope not. He's in an awkward position as it appears neither the team that traded him nor the team they traded him to actually want him for one reason or another, but he was absolutely balling out in the weeks before the trade and I think he's enormously talented. LaMelo Ball, Brandon Miller, and Mark Williams ought to be a good foundation for a decent team in the Eastern Conference if they can all manage to stay healthy at the same time. Whatever the reason, I'm really happy this guy will apparently not end up on the Lakers because I think he would have made them better.
