Another thing, i wonder who ratted out Cousins on the punch? it was clearly something that nobody in the media caught wind of during the game. it was obviously brought to the league attention by someone with the Rockets after the game. Was it Beverly? that would be a bad look for him considering all of his dirty plays, including the one that knocked Russel Westbrook out of the playoffs last year...

It was most likely from the front office or staff of the Rockets. Mark Cuban used to send tapes of things like that all the time. In fact, right before the playoffs one year he sent a bunch of clips of Chris Webber dragging his pivot foot and calling for the officials to call it as traveling. In the first couple of playoff games against the Maverivcks, guess what happened...

I suspect that was the deal. I had never considered it before because Cuz rolled that ankle without Beverley's help, although Beverley did get him in the face on the way down.

Cuz rolls ankle, Beverely hits him in face weeks ago
Cuz comes out with little pop to Beverely in this game in retaliation
In retaliation for that?? Harden tells Cuz going to foul him hard and does so...potentially even refs look the other way because they saw the Beverley thing? Might have been more going on than we initially realized.
throw in Cuz trying to lead us back, refs calling a couple of little weak fouls on him (perhapos because they saw the extracurricular stuff?) thus being denied a chance to beat/compete with a team of guys he has now been feuding with, and he melts down

Cousins punched OJ Mayo in the dick (not seen by refs) and elbowed MD last season and neither did anything other than play hard afterwards and help there team's win. It's not like him being thrown to the ground was life threatening, Harden probably did it cause he knew it would pee him off like a smart player does.

I believe the punch came well before the throw down and was retaliation for a play earlier in the season. Got the order of events wrong.

Clearly the harden play however came well before the ejection. It's the persecution complex. Why can harden throw me down and I barely touch Howard and it's a foul while harden gets away with it? It builds in him. The Boston game he SHOULD have been ejected or fouled out if I recall accurately. He was after humphries. Whether he deserved a suspension for the sucker punch, I don't know. In total, he earned a suspension.

Unfortunately, that makes sense. So we now have the Rockets in the column of teams with which Cousins has an ongoing problem, along with the Clippers. This just has the mark of "no good can come of this" written all over it.

Well, it could not have been on that play. Houston had the ball and Beverly had just attempted a screen, with Thomas' defense forcing him to clear out through the paint - then sucker punch. I do agree with the wussification sentiment - tainting NBA in recent years.

I had bought the tickets to the game in November before they announced his suspension. They announced the suspension a few hours before the tipoff, which pissed me off.

I was planning on going to the game tomorrow night, but without DMC playing I doubt I will. Glad I don't have the tickets purchased like last time.

Indeed, far more likely that he decides to just randomly punch Beverley out of the blue 3min into the game, that Harden later just randomly threatens to foul him, and does so hard. that the refs just randomly miss a 270lb guy crashing to the floor. Just one of those things that happens you know? Serendipity. Who can explain these things?

Whatever it is, it really makes it hard to believe that Cousins is an intelligent player when he goes about doing this kinda stuff. I mean, the guy himself is always claiming that he's got a huge target on his back, that he's being actively persecuted etc. And his response? To retaliate and paint a bigger target on his back. I know emotions and stuff play a role but there's clearly some logic that is missing right there. Heck, in repeatedly complaining that he's treated unfairly he's just setting himself up to be treated even more unfairly. Does he really believe that the refs are going to hold a meeting?

Maybe in his position better to have chauffeurs drive you around. We can recall Tyreke Evans having his license suspended for reckless driving and forced to be driven around by others for a time. You need valid state drivers license, state ID, or passport to get on a commercial aircraft, so obviously he has at least one of those three - U.S. passport for sure. But I heard that Cousins failed to obtain drivers license in high school or at University of Kentucky for unexplained reason.

Are you kidding? This is starting to get absurd. The only issues with Demarcus have been his attitude on the court. You're making it sound as though he's some lunatic.

As far as Tyreke Evans driving is concerned, his license was suspended for reckless driving for 30 days. That was after Evans agreed to plead no contest to the reckless driving charge (a reduction from the original charge of speeding when he was clocked in excess of 100 mph in his Mercedes).

Now if you want me to say that it's because he failed the written driving test or some such I'm not saying that. But it is known that for some reason he went quite long-time without getting a drivers license. As I said, bit strange but ok with me if he doesn't now have one or took such long time to finally get his.

If I'm the Kings and they are serious about stopping this nonsense I'm telling Cousins you get one more technical this year don't bother coming back for the rest of the season. It's a joke that he's 1 technical away from getting suspended and we have twenty odd games to play.
