I call that “karma”.
Tonight‘s outcome is just more of it.

Really hard to believe that Morey wasn’t willing to trade him for Harden
You mean for a guy that hasn’t won anything either?
The closest he’s come was as 3rd wheel in OKC. Then with CP3 leading the way.
If he is ever part of a winner, it won’t be with him leading the way.
I’d much rather have Simmons. With the right supporting cast, his style of play on both ends is far more conducive to winning.
Hasn't won anything? Are you Stugotz? He's won everything, except for an NBA championship. You mean for a guy that hasn’t won anything either?
Ben Simmons = pretty boy Aussie Draymond GreenThe issue here lies with Simmons being the second banana when really he should be a super role player but he isn't getting paid like one

Other people certainly appear to think so. Simmons sure seems like an impact defender, during the regular season.do you think he has the same defensive impact?

I can honestly say that I've never given the matter a moment's thought.do you think he coasts too much?

In this case at least Philly needed somebody who wanted to take a big shot in the fourth quarter. They all looked like deer in the headlights, even Embiid who really shouldn't at this point in his career. I only watched the 4th quarter of this one because my buddy texted me that Okongwu was leading a bench comeback and the Sixers made Atlanta look like a defensive force out there. Simmons is valuable for other reasons. He's got teammates who can score but one of them needs to step up if they're going to get out of this series.

Jesus... Mans got me out here caping for James Harden. I ought to ban you, on principle.
I grant you that. Philly tanked more than ATL did anything to win the game.
They had nobody to step up. Although I still favor a team approach like the KINGS had during their elite level era and even the Warriors had before KD ended up there.
Regardless, when it comes to having a clutch “go to” player there are a lot of players I’d rather have before the Bearded Hag. He’s never led a team anywhere as a #1 and never will.
Philly would have been infinitely better off trading for a player like Chris Paul.
Philly could use someone like Jimmy Butler.
