Imagine if the kings were the 6th seed and played the nuggets who we were 3-0 against. Move on to the lakers who we were 2-1 against. Then moved on to a mavs team that had a couple upsets on their side of the bracket, which we were 3-0 against. And finally end up in the finals against the Celtics who we were undefeated against. Who am I kidding, we’d prob get swept if we ever made it to the playoffs but man that would be a great Cinderella story.

Your fantasy was already outlandish with imagining the Kings as the 6th seed, so might as well run with it.

In other news, the Kings are silly.

On today's episode of the 2018 Top 5 Draft in the 2021 Playoffs so far:

#1 DeAndre Ayton - 21.5ppg, 13rpg, .875 FG
#3 Luka Doncic - 35ppgm 8.5rpg, 9apg
#4 Jaren Jackson Jr - 7/3/0
#5 Trae Young - 32/7/10

Oops left out one.
#2 Marvin Bagley - 0 0 0 DNP - team sucks

Other worthy mentions outside the top 5:
#10 Mikal Bridges - 8/3/1
$14 Michael Porter Jr - 21.5/6.5/0.5

That’s depressing.

I recently realized the Kings last made the playoffs the year before I joined this board. Maybe I’m the problem.

imagine if we’d drafted Luka to pair next to Fox, had a good coach who kept Buddy in a 3 point specialist role to spread the floor for Fox & Luka, with Fox getting open lanes whenever Buddy and Luka are behind the 3 point line. Imagine having a champ like Harrison Barnes around to provide steady veteran leadership and guide the ship. Imagine having a team like that at home at G1C with a crowd that brings the ruckus.

Oh well

Maybe I'd rather imagine, what if D'Alessandro hadn't panicked, and punted on the season, when Cousins got mono? Imagine having Mike Malone coaching Cousins for 6+ seasons, developing him, and encouraging him to reach his maximum potential. Imagine having a general manager committed to actually building a team around the talents of his best player, as opposed to one who didn't think that the player could play in the style that the GM wanted the team to play, and then making it his mission to prove it?

One dude went to a "party", the other one went to a club.

The party apparently required a negative PCR/vax proof. The club is the club.
Given that breakthrough cases are a thing, even if rare, and that apparently some players have chosen to remain unvaxxed, it would seem the rules should be more consistent regardless.

BUT, I am also pro-vax and of the opinion we should probably be open things up exactly this way to incentivize more people on the fence to get vaxxed. So, if the NBA wants to publicly adopt the policy that the LeBron James protocols are good for all (and they maybe did it privately?) I'm all on board with this. Especially knowing that there is a large Black population who are vaccine hesitant for legitimate reasons, seeing NBA superstars publicly vaccinate is HUGE.

Also fining guys with 9 figure contracts 50k is like a parking ticket for someone who drives an exotic sports car.

ive made my peace with it, to be honest. At least for 10 months of the year. His heroics vs the Clippers last year were bad enough and it’s gonna get worst now. Playoffs are gonna be an annual gut punch and fandom laceration for a long time, especially if we keep kangzing our way out of the playoffs every year

Miami looking cooked. Looks like last years finals run was simply a matter of luck and a lot of things going their way. Either that or the Bucks got much better with Holiday, Portis, Forbes and Tucker
Miami kind of did the classic Ainge thing, prep yourself for the "big" move and in the process fall in love with what you have when that wasn't a part of the plan in the first place. It kind of sucks for them because last year just confused the issue so you can't really blame them. Ainge never really had a basis for running his team the way it has been. Now they are kind of stuck between youth and ring chasing while trying to fill out their rotation in the interim with over the hill role players.

maybe I didn't see the rumors or reports but what "big" move were the Heat looking to make?

I just don’t see how this suns team is getting all this love. Watching these last few games with Chris Paul out or playing hurt, they look terrible. It gives me hope that maybe the kings are one player away from the playoffs. (Too bad that player is Chris Paul or lebron James ;))
