NBA Lottery tonight

If we get 6th pick, stern is rigging for sure.

why do some people on here have the notion that the commish despises everything about us and wants to see this franchise not succeed? i just dont get it!

if he really hated us and didn't care, then why was he busting his hump over recent times trying to get us an arena deal and keep the team here?

I don't know why, but for me the draft lottery is the most nerve wracking event as a Kings fan. I honestly don't remember being this nervous even when the Kings were playing in the playoffs against the Lakers.

About this time the reps are being gathered into the room where they'll witness the actual ping pong balls being drawn in roughly 10 minutes.

On the notion of "rigging." If that were even possible given the circumstances of how the winners are decided, then it would have to be an extremely clever ruse.

They might actually rig it in our favor for once. I think the #1 pick could get fans back at Arco which could help with a new arena and keeping the Kings in Sacramento. :D

Some people don't understand how percentages work. Or like to ignore that the biggest prizes of the last twenty years have gone to San Antonio twice (Duncan and the Admiral), Orlando twice (Shaq and Webber), Cleveland (LeBron), Portland (Oden)...There's no rational reason to believe Stern would rig the lottery in Orlando's favor.

Yeah, no kidding...he can't pull a Patrick Ewing to the Knicks again...and if the freaking Clippers get the 1st pick for the 89th time, something is up. New Jersey probably will get the first pick... But if by some miracle the Kings get it, not only do we get the first pick, that might get us a new arena and a marquee free agent...including LBJ. Can you imagine a backcourt of Evans, Wall and James?!? Holy H!!!

Each team has a certain number of randomly selected four number combos, with the individual numbers ranging from 1-14. They use the ping pong ball machine to draw 4 numbers and the team that matches up with them is the winner of that pick. They do this in a room with representatives of every lottery team. Someone who believes that the lottery is rigged, tell me how they would rig this process without getting caught?

Is there something wrong with me for not wanting the Kings to get the #1 pick? I'd be happy with #4, ok with #3 and estatic with #2.....

Of course, I am always wrong about these types of things. =/

If anyone wants to join me in the KingsFans.com chatroom, join at the server irc.bludgeon.org, channel #kingsfans. If you don't have an IRC program, just go to mibbit.com and use that.

There goes my theory of dozens of ping pong balls with the Kings logo in a bin....:(
