nba league pass broadcast

G-League
Last year, almost *none* of the Kings' games on NBA League Pass used the Kings' broadcast feed. Even on home games. I really missed Napier and Reynolds. (I wrote a letter to the NBA in protest last year, but never sent it)

This year, almost all games are so far have used the Kings' feed, which is awesome. Any ideas why?

No, but I may write them a letter about the opposite thing. I am beginning to get very tired of Grant & Jerry (who is laughably wrong so often I have long since stopped being amused). I pity the poor folks of Sacto stuck listening to them every game. Certainly don't want to do it myself.

Same here; Napear annoys the **** out of me; half the time, I'm listening to music during the game, just so that I don't have to listen to his voice.

Gerrold is much better, too bad he only does radio...

I practice the different approach - listen to the radio (Gerald much-much better) and watching the TV with mute on. By pure coincidence it works on any broadcast - national or local. :D

I don't know. When I got League Pass first a few years ago, I was amazed at how bad most other broadcast teams were, and actually appreciated Grant and Jerry. That said, I'll almost always take the national feed when available.

Of course now at school, I rely on the national feed, and actually somewhat miss Grant and Jerry.

That's easy for you to say; I have to pay to listen to Gerrold on radio... and then, there's still up to a ten-second delay.

I actually like Jerry. He is one likeable dude. I actually think that the Kings announcers are some of the better ones in the league. At least they keep it loose.

joejoe i know what u mean..i was thinkin the same thing about tonight..thinkin iot was an away game...we'd have wolves broadcasters...but i was pretty excited it was the kings feed b/c then i get to see the kings halftime ...like when they show lil videos about kings...bibby...brad etc..

Dpes ANYONE knmow how to save that clip of Wells making the game winning shot in editor picks at NBA.com? I NEED to know!!!

Use a program such as NetTransport or HiDownload. These programs enable you to capture streaming video files (asx, asf, wmv etc.). Pretty handy stuff.

Enter the following link into the program:
http://boss.streamos.com/wmedia/nba/nbacom/5star/wells_b_051213.asx

You should be able to save the file as an .asf file (5.98 MB in this case). You can find other video links in the NBA.com RSS Video Feed.

Be warned, the ASF file seeks very slowly. You need ASFTools to rebuild the index, such that the file can be seeked quickly.
