Even if that was technically a moving screen, Donte sure did a lot of work in selling it to get the call. I don't know what the line is between a flop and selling the call but he didn't pirouette and fall to the floor from contact there -- he did that part on his own.

It kills me to see DDV play like a freaking stud in these playoff games. If only the Kings could have managed to keep him. He's a stud on defense, a killer making shots under pressure, who has a high BBIQ. The guy is a total winner as far as I am concerned and the Kings could use him as a starter at the 2G position right about now. Oh well.....

He did not want to be here. Or if he did, his idiot agent killed it with the accusation we were trying to kill his FA value by not playing him in the final third of the season after he lost half the season and the qualifying time he needed due to injury with another freaking team.

I'm curious though - if he had stayed - do we make the move for Huerter or the move for Monk?

I'm curious why he wouldn't want to be here. That always sounded bogus to me, like a weak excuse from someone in higher management. I think Heurter would be totally redundant and would be gone. Monk would still do his 6th man thing, complement DDV, and would be an asset. I think DDV is better than either one of them, but the timing of his injury and his recovery period just didn't coincide with the Kings' timetable. The Kings had a shot at getting him 3x, but still couldn't get him for the long term. With the Knicks he looks like the 2nd-best player they've got on the floor right now.

i really love him as a defender but he might quite possibly be the worst offensive player in the league at this point.
The worst in the league? Hardly. Though if Monte wants to employ that exaggeration in negotiations to get him for something reasonable, I'm game.

His agent publicly said the Kings were trying to keep him off the floor so they could offer him less in free agency (which is ridiculous because nobody signs the one year qualifying offer - but it seems like that may have been his intention). Either way, the agent went out of the way to burn that bridge and I am sure privately made it even more clear that they would sign the QO and the split as an unrestricted free agent, which is why the team rescinded it.

so much of the Cavs problems on offense come down to him being such a non-threat offensively anywhere that isn’t directly next to the basket that teams are sagging into the paint/ making it so Spida has to shoot a circus shot every single possession. He’s averaged like one three point attempt per game over his first three seasons in the league and while his shooting percentage was moderately okay on it this season, he hasn’t particularly improved as a catch and shoot guy to the point that his interesting on-ball catch and drive stuff isn’t really bothering anyone anymore. He’s still young so there’s still a chance that he’ll learn how to take more threes. But right now he’s essentially Chet Holmgren with like 75% less swag

Pacers with absolutely insane good injury luck in this postseason lmao

Giannis and Dame out in the Bucks series. Now Brunson out for the Knicks.

Tyrese with a huuuge first half but follows it up with a third quarter that had all the announcers just befuddled. For better or worse this is the narrative on him now.
