Jimmy "MJ" Butler showing the world how it is done. Heat showing remarkable poise once again.
Celtics played so stupid though. Not doubling Butler. Not pressuring the ball handler when down in the final minutes. Tatum got some butterfingers.

Jimmy Butler second team all NBA. Jason Tatum first team all NBA. Placement should be reversed. Butler my favorite non-Kings player in the NBA - and has been since his days in Chicago. Interesting both Butler and DFox grew up in Houston, TX.
Of the teams left, I'd like to see a Heat/Nuggets final ,and the Heat take it....Nuggets are fairly deep team, and will pose a big challenge. I'm sure NBA execs want a rematch of the alternate teams -- 80s and late 2000's Celts/Lakers....doubt both teams make it, and maybe neither.

I’ve been on the Heat train since about game 3 against Milwaukee.
Took at them at slightly better than 3-1 odds on the money line in the past 2 games.
It wouldn’t surprise me if MIA actually swept Boston, if the NBA and their officials allow it to happen.
They look like the best team in the postseason to me. They don’t have many recognizable names, but they have a very good HC and play like a team. And, of course, they have playoff Jimmy Butler too.
Bet the Sixers wish they still had him.

All evidence to the contrary so far.
Even with Giannis being injured for part of the 1st round, I don’t believe BOS beats MIL in 5 games.
But Miami did. And have won 2 games in BOS already.
Might soon be time to reevaluate which team is better.

Players like Williams not knowing their place compared to players like Jimmy Butler is rarely ever not amusing.
None of Williams teammates will likely state it, but I’ll bet they’re not happy he chose to add fuel to JB’s already white hot internal fire.
I have always liked the Celtics. Good defense and plenty of talent. I agree with the commentators that Tatum and Brown play way too much one on one bball. The team is in love with the 3. Their offense is stylized and does not work so well against good defensive teams.
The Heat are a tough team that just keeps coming. Fun to watch Caleb Martin from the U of Nevada get some recognition. His brother Cody is a better defender with less offensive power. Butler is amazing and they get the most out of their role players. I like Miami a lot.

I just watched Williams foul Bulter into the ground with Butler miraculously making the shot. From the ground lay Butler with one arm in the air and his pointer finger extended... pointing directly at Williams just a few feet away.
If I wasn't before, I am now Jimmy Butler fan.
If I can laugh at the Lakers I can only cry about the Celtics.
Incidentally, maybe MIL had a major overreact to losing to Miami without a healthy Giannis?

Miami in these playoffs is like watching one of those Spurs championship teams. It almost seems hopeless with how well they execute for 48 minutes.
Boston gets a run and starts pumping their chest like they are flipping the switch but Miami just always answers with good team execution.
A lot of talk rightfully about Butler, but Bam is showing just how much of a high impact a two way player he is as well. It’s like if Domas had top level defense and explosive above the rim athleticism.
They can plug in just about anybody and that player is going to do work. Hitting from all cylinders. They’ve looked like the best team in these playoffs

Seriously, though, the funniest thing about the Heat's developmental system is that Riley's original plan was to develop low-level assets to the point where they would be good enough to parlay into some star talent, without having to mortgage all his draft picks. And, at some point, he started looking at the guys he developed and thought, "You know what? If we get the right #1 guy in here, the rest of these guys might be good enough!"
Yeah this Heat team is THE team in this year's playoffs...they dispatched the #1 ranked Bucks, a good Knicks team, and now closing on the #2 team in the league. They got their mettle tested versus the Bucks and seem to be born out of it.

This Heat team, is kinda what I was hoping the Kings might be this season.....its nice to see another team do it as classic underdogs. Woulda been fun to see how the Heat team handled the Warriors.....
Another funny thing about sports fandom: you know what fanbase is definitely not rooting for the Heat? Rockets fans. Why? Because Rockets fans are the sort of self-absorbed that they want to be able to say that they are fans of the only team in NBA history to have won a championship without having homecourt in any round of the playoffs.
I never said alcohol. Make it Red Bull, then.
