don't they have like 10,000 combos or something like that and then they match it up vs. some spreadsheet?
it's all one giant show. I wish they'd do envelopes or something but oh no, a corner was bent so they totally rigged it for the Knicks even though they never won anything with the guy...
The actual process is so boring and anticlimactic (and often requires re-draws if a team that already got #1 gets their numbers picked again) that they have to do it this way. Nobody would watch "3...7...12...1! ....That combination belongs to...anybody...anybody...the Kings are saying BINGO!"
