On the team’s head coaching search:
“We still have the same three candidates and we like them all very much. I think we are probably at the point where we need to make a decision, sooner rather than later. So, at some point, we’ll do that.”
“There are some very strong merits to all three coaches. It’s also unlikely we’ll talk to anybody else.”

So that kind of answers that -- Westphal, Thibodeau, or Rambis. That's a pretty reasonable crew from which to pick.

Interesting how he worder it thought -- like we were jsut kind of sitting on our asses and twiddling our thumbs about whom to pick. Not entirely sure I believe that. Or see the point in it.

This is my order, out of those assumed:

1. Thibodeau
2. Westphal
3. Rambis

There is no reason for the delay unless it involves Rambis, which would indicate Rambis is the preferred candidate. Otherwise it would be gold to have the new coach out there selecting assistants, attending workouts, etc.. Whoever it is is going to want personnel he can work with, and we are unuder 30 days until all sorts of big decisions on that front have to be made.

Yeah, that wording is strange. Almost sounds like, "Oh yeah, the coaching thing, well we're basically done with that, but you're right we really need to finalize it eventually... after my nap."

Wonder if Petrie's chafing due to delay or disagreement on the part of another party whose name rhymes with "aloof."

Petrie is waiting for Rambis to get done in the finals. This is such a lame ploy. Just announce the decision Petrie. Robert Horry in the house!!!
