Neither list is a slam dunk for me, but Prince has been one of my favorite artists for pretty much as long as I've been alive. That's enough for me to go with Rookie.

Rookie in a landslide for me. Maiden, Deth, AND Prince?

U2 is my favorite among the 2 list, however, Rookie's list has more artists that I like. Doors, Maiden, AIC and Soundgarden among them.

This was another close one, ulitmately it was Hanz that put King over the top.

I went with rookie, The Doors, Jefferson Airplane and Depeche Mode pretty much won it.

I think I actually ranked kingsnation higher but it was close. Either way, going with Rookie's list now as I think he and I have the most similar taste in music, even though I despise Pink Floyd.

Whatever happens the rest of this round, win or lose, I just wanted to share something amazing! My 11th selection The Roots AND my 16th selection Jimmy Cliff performing TOGETHER on the Jimmy Fallon Show. This is the reason I drafted both of these artists. Simply amazing.

going with rookieoftheday here though kingsnation had some excellent selections (The Roots- whose new album 'undun' is simply spectacular, and The Mavericks- really like some of their stuff) but some of the big hitters on ROTD's list was just too much to overcome.

Alright, we've got a bit of a holdup with the dukeswh/Dime Dropper tie, but I that will be resolved tommorow either through a top 5 vs. top 5 poll is dukes returns, or some other means if he does not. Either way, congrats Rookie, you'll be moving on to the second round. While kingsnation, despite his stated lack of interest, will probably be one of the favorites in the consolation bracket.
