Jespher's top 10 is very strong, even with the -1000 points I took away from him for picking Counting Crows. I like Sonic Youth, but my vote goes to Jespher.

I probably ranked Jespher higher because I got all mathematical in my rankings but when it comes down to mano a mano I gotta go with William Blake for the Stooges, Ramones, Johnny Thunders, Cramps, Wire, Blondie and to a lesser extent Television and Morphine.

There's enough on Jespher's list that I like to earn a vote from me against most other potential competitors in the second round and beyond (despite the presence of a few bands/artists I really don't like), but William Blake's getting my vote for as long as he's in it. I just can't vote against The Stooges and A Tribe Called Quest. Just can't.

Alright, we've got a bit of a holdup with the dukeswh/Dime Dropper tie, but I that will be resolved tommorow either through a top 5 vs. top 5 poll is dukes returns, or some other means if he does not. Either way, congrats Jespher, you'll be moving on to the second round. Meanwhile William Blake has another chance in the consolation bracket to educate ous on exactly who all these bands on his list are.
