This one's tough. Too tough. And I'm trying not to be swayed by how much of one of these collections was lifted directly from my picks in the first draft...

The Ventures, Poison and Barenaked Ladies made the difference for me. But it was incredibly close.

Wow! 13 albums from the 90's... I hope you are in your 30's! Being in my 30's, your list is awesome! I especially like your "When the Pawn..." pick. Underrated and fantastic album.
Let's see which list Pres. Obama prefers:

In my 30s? Yep, just barely. Great decade for music that clearly shaped my tastes while I thought I wasn't paying attention to it. Actually kind of wanted to get a pick from every year of the decade, but Cap stole my '97 (OK Computer) and I didn't really have one for '98 until Cap, again, introduced me to In The Aeroplane Over the Sea (almost went with Version 2.0, but prefer the debut). As for Ms. Apple, clearly I agree. Been pretty vocal about my new found giddy fandom of her.

Glad we're in an exciting dogfight here. Starting with the monumental London Calling and continuing with a cool, quirky, hip and fun blend from CCR to Daft Punk, I'm kind of honored my list is keeping pace with yours (even if I still, humbly, like my own better). I especially love the Brian Wilson and The Ventures picks too. Had a surf rock album on my list that was unfortunately disqualified due to the rules.

So... last chance to discuss our favorite Simon and Garfunkel tunes.... "Fakin' It" is my all time favorite. Everyone agree?
The Sound of Silence is great, but I might have to go with The Boxer. I'm a big fan of America as well. But I'll say The Boxer.

59th Street Bridge Song. Bridge over Troubled Water. My aunt is completely responsible for my love of Simon and Garfunkel and for that I am extremely grateful.

Great match against a great list. Really sweated it out all the way to the end. Relieved and a little honored to have squeaked by this one. Well done NoBonus.
