More reason to hate the Lakers

Funny quote of day: Andrew Bynum says it's "terrible" DeMarcus Cousins has to be in Sacramento and can't take his talents elsewhere

This isn't going to come back and bite Bynum in the *** at all.

So that he doesn't have to worry about DMC kicking his *** 4 times a year? I see what he's trying to do.

Somebody please tweet that to Cuz. Cuz has said he would like to stay here but of course that might be a statement from a young guy who hasn't been offered a temptation to leave which will occur, of course, in the future. I would like one motivated Cuz willing to put up with the negatives of living in this area or playing for this team to shove this down the throat of everyone who sees this area as the end of the world. Depends on what his goals in life are. He could salvage a city and its reputation among NBA players.

Don't anyone take offense at what I am saying. Sacramento is not a magnet for great players. The absurdity of what Bynum said is the implication that anyone playing for the Kings is doomed to anonymity or perpetual pergutory (sp?). Sacramento can be a long time power in the NBA just as San Antonio and Portland seemed to have pulled off but it may mean a guy like Cuz will need to make it happen.

I want this guy to understand how important he is to us and maybe the area. I have said wild things about how far Cuz will go and won't back off. He's a once in a generation player and if this FO or whoever controls the decision making does not treat him well, we will have missed an opportunity to escape the kinds of comments made by a man of limited inteligence like IQ. I am tired of guys like Shaq and Bynum crapping on us.

As the truth seems to be that no guy can get the greatest accolades if he is not on a winning team, Bynum may be right. My wish is that Sacramento becomes a winning team because players want to be on the same team as Cuz.

Edit: as to Bynum parking in disabled zones, I know of at least two people on this forum who have the right to park in disabled parking spots. I would trash his damn car. It's not a joke.

In related news, Bynum is having a (minor) operation on his knee tonight. If he can't go on Sunday, Demarcus could stand a chance of taking his place on the West roster as he is already in Orlando and putting up comparable numbers.

Amzingly enough, I don't need more reasons to hate the Lakers. I already hate them about as much as is humanly possible. ;)

Not sure what i think. Bynum's comment suggest that Cousins would be an addition to a winning team, at the same time is he suggesting Cousins isn't able to lead the Kings as a winning team?

I think it's a compliment.

Capt. Factorial says it's "terrible" Andrew Bynum has bum knees and must always worry about taking his talents elsewhere due to constant trade rumors.

Maybe we should trade Cuz for Bynum and that will solve Bynum's angst over Cuz's situation. (ducking) I wonder if Bynum thinks his reputation has been over-inflated because he is on the Lakers.

I wouldn't trade Cuz for three Bynums. I mean that literally.

You and me both, Glenn. And I'm loving watching how his game is progressing and career is playing out against our mutual wild bold predictions. Fun stuff!

Maybe we are just correct. I don't have the ability to back up some of my ideas so I just keep quiet or I share it in PMs with people who I know will not ridicule me. The fan in me may make me too optimistic but then when it comes to Cuz, I am not sure what "too optimistic" is.

I believe this was predicted many weeks ago. :D

Bynum is such a punk.
I really hope the NBA doesn't let him EVER live down the cheap-shot he put on Barea (after the cheap shots that injured Wallace, and the other guy).
If the NBA REALLY protected their players, Bynum would be getting flagrants every single time he even dared to not play the ball.

It's too bad DMC cruised into the All-Star break and didn't try that hard the last 2 games - I think he would be a shoo-in replacement for Bynum in the All-Star game if he can't go.
But those weak last 2 games may give a selection committee pause.

Ya, 16 pts 16 rebs in 27 mins sucks. He should be getting at least 30/30.

how could you miss the ultimate?? he took out perkins in the finals.

Jason Jones is the worst beat writer of any team I have ever followed. Go take your talents to LA.

Ill take Cuz over Bynum. Add in some above the rim play for Cuz and it wouldnt even have been close.

Man, the over-exaggerating sarcastic response on this forum is epidemic.

Who said DMC sucked in the last 2 games?

Please, quote or use support instead of Straw Manning.

I doubt DMC's last 2 games' statlines fill people with confidence that he can dominate against big opponents:
Shooting 9 for 33 and getting half those rebounds on his own misses is different than the statlines he was putting up the previous weeks.

Agree, or disagree?

While Kobe contributed, it's fairly obvious Bynum didn't give a crap about getting the rebound - he was quite deliberately jumping on Perkins back and putting extra weight on him when he landed.

Good call.

You said his games were weak. Weak = sucked. Time to Ignore. Too touchy and too much of a troublemaker for me.

Id say that saying Cousins "cruised into the AS break and didn't try that hard" is quite an exaggeration as well.

Is that as epidemic as calling out the forum for over-exaggerating while doing it yourself a few posts prior?

Go put your words in other people's mouths.

That's the nice thing about logical fallacies (Straw Man) - they aren't subjective.

You're welcome to try and show how I Straw Man'ed.
Go ahead.
Try.

Until you can, then you objectively cannot say I'm Straw Manning.
I simply stated my opinion, and wasn't replying to or representing anyone else's argument.

However, Section 101 did provably Straw Man:
http://www.theskepticsguide.org/resources/logicalfallacies.aspx
The arguer invents a caricature of his opponent’s position – a “straw man” – that is easily refuted, but not the position that his opponent actually holds.
I provably didn't say Cousins sucked in his last 2 games, or that he should get 30/30.

But by all means, have other long-time members come out of the woodwork and attack me for saying DMC's last 2 games were weaker than his previous ones (9 for 33, people).
Gee, I wonder what the agenda here is, when even saying that objective statement gets posters to attack me.
