Mock Draft consensus watch

As the draft gets closer, I like to see what the consensus is, at least among the recently updated predictions. These won't mean too much yet, since they can't think about team needs and so on without knowing the draft order, and also because any moron can post a mock draft, and many do.

Just the same, when they reach consensus they're often not too far off. Although these will be pretty worthless still, I'll post them as they now stand, and we can look back in a couple of weeks when they're starting to mean something. In short, consider this post a placeholder for now.

#1. and #2: Looking over 37 mocks that have been updated in the last month, all 37 put Wall at #1 and Evans at #2. It may change later, but for the time being, you couldn't ask for more solid agreement.

#3. Tossup! Of the 14 sites that have posted or updated their mocks during this calendar month, 6 picked Favors, 6 picked Cousins, and 2 picked Johnson.

#4. Tossup! Again, out of 14 sites, 6 picked Favors, 6 picked Cousins, and 2 picked Johnson.

#5. Johnson - picked by 8 out of 14 sites. Honorable mentions go to Cousins, Favors, and Aminu, at 2 votes each.

#6: who cares? We aren't going to drop that low, and these things get less and less reliable after you pass the first few picks, so they're probably worthless this early anyway.

The mocks used for this post were the most recent ones listed here: http://dcprosportsreport.com/NBAMocks.htm

Bumping this thread, since we now know the draft order, and mocks are starting to take that into account. The ones updated yesterday (presumably after the lottery) say:

1. Wall
2. Turner
3. Probably Favors
4. At this point, consensus falls apart.

You can check here for updates, which are posted frequently: http://dcprosportsreport.com/NBAMocks.htm

Okay, since the combine started, the mocks have been updated like mad, and we now have clear consensus through the top 3.

1. Wall (45 mocks out of 45)
2. Turner (43 out of 45, with 2 picking Favors)
3. Favors (38, versus 2 Cousins, 2 Turners, 2 Johnsons and 1 Montiejunas)
4. No consensus: 25 Johnson, 14 Cousins, 6 other
5. No consensus, 20 Cousins, 10 Aminu, 9 Johnson, and a few for Monroe, Davis and Favors.
6. If you care, see: http://dcprosportsreport.com/NBAMocks.htm
