It would’ve helped if Devers started out his Giants career scorching hot, but I think collectively the newfound expectations that came with the acquisition was too much for this group.

They went from a team performing way above expectations to a team with expectations(playoffs and anything can happen from there) and they have just been awful.

Rogers traded to NYM for Blade Tidwell, Drew Gilbert, and Jose Butto.

Blade and Gilbert are the Mets 10 & 12 prospects both 24 and in AAA while Butto is a reliever who got to the majors this year.

Mets fans say we robbed em.

4 prospects is A LOT for a reliever, even if none of them are super premium. And while Doval is very good, he hasn't been elite the last 1 year and a 1/2.

Major props to Posey though, holy cow. Went for the gusto with Adames and Devers and still had the stones to properly see this team needed to sell. And not double-down on what's become pretty close to a lost-cause season.

Jesus Rodriguez looks like the highest rated prospect. C and corner infielder. Mostly a catcher who is raking at AAA. Good chance we see him soon

I think in the end, Rogers had more value than Doval and the haul from that deal was excellent. This deal is up to the advanced scouts and what they see in the Yankees guys

Should Doval command a top level prospect? Dude is a bit shaky to say the least.

The guys we got seem okay and have far better numbers than most anybody I see doing work at those respective levels for the Giants system currently. Very few exceptions. I wonder where all these guys will rank in our system which is I believe ranked dead last in the majors

I’m enjoying the fire sale. Long overdue and this group has earned it the last month

Pretty serious organizational rehaul here at the deadline for Posey. And at the end of the day, traded an OF who wont be here next year and 2 very good BP arms that really don't matter all that much if the rest of the team isn't up to par. Probably will see Gilbert, Tidwell and Rodriguez at some point this year. Butto goes straight to the BP.
